This cabin is very nice, clean, the hot tub was very nice while it was snowing, and the hosts are great! Will definitely stay here again if we go back to this area in the future! If you are looking at staying here, just book it. You will not be disappointed!

What an amazing quiet spot that made us feel like we where miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city. When actually we were only a few minutes away from Traverse City and moments from East Bay! Tucked away in a cute little cabin on beautiful High Lake. Michelle, our host was so attentive, quick to reply to all of my questions, and went above and beyond our expectations. A wonderful and kind host we look forward to staying with again! From the thoughtful welcome basket to the property being well cared for and maintained, she really set our minds at ease and made the whole experience pleasant and enjoyable beyond our expectations!

The way summer should be!

Our family of four (inc. a 13 year old and 12 year old) had a blast at this charming cabin! We LOVED having a beach and boats to use. The kids splashed around in the lake at night, we had an epic Connect 4 competition, and the hubs and I enjoyed a beverage on the deck (loved the wine that our wonderful host left for us)! The cabin had everything we needed. We didn’t use the hot tub but it was a great option to have. And, Peegeos (literally a stone’s throw away) was a very fun birthday meal for our newly minted 12 year old! The location of the cabin was close enough to everything but far enough to feel peace and quiet! Thank you to the hosts for the fantastic communication and recommendations! We loved our stay!

Why they chose this property

I love that our cabins are close to Traverse City. It's such a great central location to visit so many things in Michigan! It's also absolutely gorgeous any time of year!

What makes this property unique

These cabins were built in the 1950s and they sit on an inland lake that was once part of a cabin community where people went to spend their summer vacations. Times have changed but these cabins remain. Each time I go there, I am reminded of simpler times when families playing on the beach was enough. When my family and I spend time here, we encourage turning off devices and just spending time together - having fun on the lake, marshmallows and stories at the campfire, paying yard games and just enjoying each other's company. Those are the things I hope that our guests enjoy while they are here as well. While the cabins have TVs and internet, our hope is that you use them as little as possible because you're having so much fun outside and with each other!
