We really enjoyed the location in La Jolla. So close to the beach and nearby shops, restaurants and activities. Nice living room and outdoor patio areas to gather. Beds were comfortable and all very clean. Nice hosts and so easy to communicate with. Would recommend!

Everything was great. Firepit/patio, BBQ Grill, Washer/Dryer made us feel like we were at our own home. Host communication, check-in/check-out process was flawless. Great location. Close to the beach, restaurants, coffee shops, etc.

The host was very proactive, kept in touch throughout our stay, and left clear instructions for using the amenities in the house. This place is in an excellent location; quiet neighborhood but still close to everything in town. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use, great living room space, and the beds were comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful stay!

Overall, The Home Was Very Quaint & Cozy. I Wasn’t Going To Leave A Review, But After I Felt As We Were Being Monitored On Our Stay, Roland Coming To His Property Informing Us Of Oil In His Driveway, Which We Had NO Knowledge Of Our Car Leaking Oil, & We Got The Oil Up Immediately. We Were Traveling So We Didn’t Know, The Car Was Leaking. 2, Calling Me Because My Husband & I Were Sitting In The Car Listening To The Rain. & Enjoying Quality Time To Go Back In The House To A Missed Call From Him. We Left Our Phones In The House & We Didn’t Have The Code To Get Back In The House Made Us Feel Uneasy After I Had A Missed Call From Him. We Felt As If He Was Watching Our Every Move. Then To Receive A Bill For Cleaning Of The Linen (Comforters & Sheets). This Should Have Been Standard To Clean The Linen After Your Guests Leave, The Portfolio Said To Leave The Linen On The Bed, Which We Did, But No, I Was Charged. (The Grandkids Spilled A Soda, There Children). For Future Reference, Please Let Your Guests Enjoy Their Vacation Without Monitoring Their Every Move, Every One’s Character Is Not The Same…And Upon Our Exit We Left The Home The Way We Entered If Not Cleaner…

We had an amazing time in Rolands beautiful home with lots of outdoor space, furniture, fireplace.Great practical kitchen with good equipment, indoor and outdoor dining tables and the charm of a dignified home.A perfect home a way from home. We had a kind of extended family get together for 14 days and loved every minute of our stay. A perfect place.

Roland was the perfect host and in touch if we needed anything. The house had everything we needed and clean. The patio with the outdoor fireplace was a wonderful relaxing place after exploring the area. Very close to beach and walking around La Jolla. Highly recommend!

Wonderful property

Had a great time at this beach cottage. Walked to the beach every day, and had a lovely time hanging out in the inviting courtyard. Was a great experience!

The property, and our stay, were great. Only complaint is the temps were high 70’s/80 and there is no ac so the inside got pretty warm. Clean, quiet, good location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Roland’s cosy, comfortable, and clean beach cottage. It is a charming historic home within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, shops, etc. Roland is an excellent host who was very communicative and helpful throughout our stay. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well-stocked. The highlight of the property is the spacious and private front patio with comfortable patio furniture and accented by beautiful succulents and other plants. We would definitely come back, the location and comfortable California vibe can’t be beat!

Cute beach getaway

Overall the property was wonderful and the location was fantastic. Check-in was very easy, however originally it stated a 4pm check-in, which later changed to 5pm once we received the codes for the property. Very late check-in times but overall well worth the visit.
