We were looking for a place to stay near the woodlands on a business trip. Our team stayed at the house for nearly a week. Very functional with plenty of space.
Several minor issues with the property that were enumerated to the property management company. Issues with the outdoor grill, insufficient cutlery, missing smoke detectors and electrical outlet covers, exterior door hinges facing the backyard creating opportunity to take off door with a screwdriver and gain access, broken mirror and unsecured cabinet door hinge
We recently stayed at this home for the weekend, and while the property has beautiful potential, it was very poorly maintained. This was the worst upkeep we’ve encountered in any rental. Many issues appeared longstanding and easily fixable but had been neglected. Outside, several fans and the pool remote didn’t work; the BBQ was in poor shape—no utensils, just one tank that ran out quickly, and the thermometer and igniter were broken. Inside, we encountered roaches (over five a day), and the kitchen was missing essentials like a serving platter, garbage bags, and mixing bowls. The fridge ice machine was frozen over, the foyer light was out, and both the back door was stuck shut and the master bedroom door handle came off. The TV setup looked messy, and the jacuzzi had algae. There was no outdoor hose to rinse off, and, adding to the frustration, the owner sent frequent, emails re: rules as opposed to 1x clear set of rules. The master bed remote also didn’t work. Overall, this was a big disappointment, especially since this was our fourth VRBO rental this year, and it really fell short of expectations.
