Hello! We are originally from northern Illinois. We moved to sunny Florida in 2018 while Emerald Palms was then a vacation rental. While Emerald Palms became our primary residence for a number of years, we knew we would eventually turn it back into a vacation rental as the property and location is so unique and must be shared! Family, friends and guests all agree this is a special property and feels like Resort Living!

Why they chose this property

Pine Island is an intercoastal island, surrounded by waterways between the barrier Islands Sanibel and Captiva, and Florida's city of Cape Coral. Pine Island is known for being off the beaten path of typical tourist destinations. It has an Old Florida look and feel and is a favorite port for fishing enthusiasts. Emerald Palms is a unique tropical property, often described by visitors as "an island on the island"! Located in the Tropical Homesites neighborhood of Saint James City, it is just a few block away from Tropical Point Park where guests can picnic, swim, kayak/canoe, fish, or launch small watercraft. Just two miles from the larger boat launch marinas available on the island!

What makes this property unique

Emerald Palms is a 1991 custom made stilt home with cedar siding, hardwood and terracotta tiled flooring throughout. Large windows look out among the one acre of mature areca and coconut palm trees giving the home privacy while still being connected to the residential community. Seashell driveways and walking paths take you back to the private fenced pool area, connecting you to decks and lanais to the back entrance of the home. Mango, papaya and citrus trees are among some of the unique tropical flora on the property.
