Escape to this spacious and tranquil retreat in Placerville! Set on 2.57 acres, this charming 2,712 sq. ft. home offers a peaceful getaway surrounded by natural beauty. Built in 1967, the property blends vintage charm with modern comfort. Cozy interiors feature two bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a welcoming living area, with central heating and cooling ensuring year-round comfort. Whether seeking a quiet escape or a base to explore the area, this home provides an inviting retreat.
Parties/Noise: In order to respect the neighbors and our quiet neighborhood, we do not allow parties in the house.

Number of Guests: There will be a fee of $50 for each guest over 10 unless discussed with us, even if the person does not stay the night. This is to prevent parties.

Check-Out: Check-out is before 11:00 am. There will be a fee of $100/hour for late checkouts. Please let us know about the time you plan to check out so we can pass this information on to the housekeepers. We kindly ask that prior to leaving, do all your dishes, gather towels and start a load in the washing machine, and take out the trash. This helps us keep the cleaning cost down. Leave the home basically as you found it when you arrived.

Restrooms: Please do not flush anything but toilet paper down the toilet.

Smoking: Our house is a non-smoking home. There will be no smoking of cigarettes or weed inside the house or a $300 charge.

Candles: We do not allow candles in the home, this is a fire hazard.

Damage: We understand that accidents happen. We ask that you please let us know when something is broken so that we can replace or repair it. There is a stain remover under the sink in the kitchen for the carpet and bedding.

Pets: Pets are allowed with a $100 per pet, non-refundable fee. No more than two (2) pets are allowed. Please alert us prior to your stay if you are planning on bringing along your pet. All pets must be fully potty trained, and not track mud or dirt into our home; please clean your pet's feet if they are dirty/muddy prior to allowing them in the home. Pets are NOT allowed on any furniture, including the beds. Keep the bedroom doors closed that are not being used. We shall not be held responsible in any way for anything that may happen to your pet. Please note, there will be an additional $100 fee for any animal waste found on the property after you leave. Please note that the pets are not to be left alone at the home.

Longer Stays: For stays exceeding 30 days, a mandatory cleaning service is required at the guest's expense. This ensures that the accommodation is well-maintained throughout longer stays. The guest will be charged the cleaning fee.

Lost Items: Please do not forget anything in the home. We can not package and ship things that are left behind.

Cameras: We have a Ring Video Doorbell camera installed at the entrance for safety.

Utilities: We kindly ask that you switch off lights and turn off AC/heater when not in the home.

Trash Removal: Please put trash cans on the curb Tuesday evening for Thursday morning pickup, and bring them back to the right side of the home Wednesday afternoon.

Please do not unplug anything in the home. It is difficult for the next guest if lamps are unplugged, and there are items in the home that operate the door lock and doorbell. If you don’t know what it is, do not unplug it. Do not unplug the wireless router or modem or it will shut down the door lock and you may get locked out.

Good location, older home, multiple issues

Beautiful setting, very close to lava cap winery. The house is definitely older, but I appreciated the midcentury architecture and features. Some things are funky (older windows/ window shades, some of the windows were broken), but has key upgrades like the kitchen appliances, thermostats, bathrooms. Very dusty/ stuffy when we arrived. The lower rating is for a specific issue. When we arrived, we realized the oven wasn't working. This interfered with our dinner plans for the night. We promptly notified the property manager, who didn't offer any help troubleshooting or anyone local to come check it out. He didn't really seem familiar with the property (said he had many properties in the area) and never followed up the next day or prior to our checkout. I would have expected more help resolving the issue or an apology at least for the issue that interrputed our evening.
