Lake Access + Lake Views from Deck + GameRoom and Only 20 Minutes to Lake Geneva

HOME ON LAKEFRONT! 3 bed/2 bath offering beautiful views of sunrise and sunset (facing south). First floor master bedroom with kitchen, full bath, living room with fireplace and pull-out sofa. 2nd and 3rd bedrooms on second floor. Walk-out basement hosts four seasons room, full bath, and game area. Walking distance to public beach and boat launch. Minutes to downtown Burlington, Alpine Valley, Lake Geneva, and Wilmot Mountain. Come and stay at the lakehouse our family has fallen in love with! Master bedroom is on first floor and the first floor full bath is right next to this room but is not a private full bath. 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are on second floor. Second full bath is in basement and adjoins the game room and is next to the family room/four seasons room. There is parking for three vehicles for this home. There are 15 steps that guests have to go up/down in order to access main home, with a double railing, that guests will take to enter the home. See exterior photos for details. I’m afraid we do not allow boats to be parked at our private pier due to the liability it imposes to the home. You may use the entire home but we have the laundry room locked as we keep supplies in that room. Ask host for code and we will be happy to share. We prefer to interact via the messaging feature. There is laundry in basement area, but, is in a locked room and host will share code to access laundry room if washer/dryer are needed. However, the laundry room has a camera in it as supplies to restock home are stored here. There is access to garage for snow shovels or garbage and recycling containers. We have a relationship with Timber Ridge Lodge and Waterpark (20 minute drive away). Ask host for free waterpark passes (up to 6 guests and with 7 days notice) and we can put in a request if you would like to spend some time in a local pool at NO cost!

Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Turn of window air conditioners.
Close all windows and close exterior doors and lock.
Take out trash and recycling.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Parking: You have three parking stalls (not marked) stretching from the right of our one-car garage to the fence line meeting the blue garage.
Garage Entry : We have a pink remote for the garage door, to the right of the kitchen entry, that should be fixed next to the key ring holder.
Laundry: Guests are welcome to utilize the laundry room in the basement but will need to request code to laundry room.

We highly enjoyed our stay here. The location on the lake was lovely, the house was well maintained and as described, and communication with the host was easy and efficient. It was an easy drive to downtown Burlington and Lake Geneva. Would definitely recommend to others looking for somewhere to stay in the area.

Burlington Beauty!

We absolutely loved our stay at the lake house! The view, the house, comfy beds and dock were all that we imagined for our long weekend trip for a family wedding. Sean was responsive and accommodating for requests or questions we had. If you’re thinking about staying in the area choose this house. You will not be disappointed!

Great location, very nice house right on the water. Be prepared for lots of rules that need to be strictly followed. Lock code was changed on us before check in despite payments made. Could not use our own rowboat. Would come back to this area but book with a different host.

This is a difficult review. The place is beautiful, in an excellent location and is “well found”- it has full kitchen amenities, a great laundry, and the beds in all three bedrooms are comfortable. We all slept well. The host is very responsive. He responded promptly to our questions. The views are Beautiful. The home is located well for day trips to Lake Geneva (20 minutes away), Racine (30 minutes), Madison (60 mins.), Milwaukee (45 mins)However, for us there were three big negatives. The first is the canoe. The listing refers to the canoe as being available. In a sense it was. It was stored in a garage at street level that was crowded with lots of stuff, particularly a skidoo. I could not see a way to get the canoe from storage without risking damaging the skidoo. Also, to get the canoe in the water required carrying it down three long, steep, narrow stairs. We could not see a safe storage place without carrying it back up to the garage. So we were not able to enjoy the lake as we planned. The second negative is We were surprised that the potable water had a high sulfur content: it smells/tastes of rotten eggs. This is not a health risk! However, the odor/taste made the water undrinkable for us. We had to buy jugs of water at the Pick N Save in Burlington. We had two senior ladies who stayed in the two upstairs bedrooms. They complained the staircase is very steep and narrow. Further, there is no bathroom upstairs. Not good @ nite.

Why they chose this property

The lakehouse is located on the north side of Bohner Lake and provides beautiful views of sunrise and sunset from the deck. As the home is located upon a hillside, you receive an elevated view of the lake and will enjoy the variety of bird life the area brings (i.e. bald eagles, swans, Canadian geese). The home has privacy from the lake and yet is minutes from restaurants and shopping.

What makes this property unique

Our price for the size of home is hard to beat. Not to mention...the fantasic views of Bohner lake!
