About this property
Family And Pet-Friendly On Waubeesee Lake ~ Includes Kayaks!
Quiet lake with beautiful views from the outside patio or lake facing sunroom porch. Enjoy solid sand and rock base lake to walk out in the water and swim. Three feet deep at end of pier and 20 feet deep at swim raft. At night, sit on the pier and watch the moon dance off the water. Fish for pan fish from the pier in the early morning or late day. Perfect for the grandparents, a comfortable Queen bed in the bedroom on first floor. Other three bedrooms are upstairs. Large bedroom on second floor has King bed and overlooks lake while sun comes up in the morning. Third bedroom has Queen bed while forth bedroom has a Bunk bed. Bathroom with shower and tub are located on both levels.
The house fits up to 6 adults and 4 children comfortably. More than 3 families would be too crowded.
It seems no one is around and it is quiet throughout the week. Usually, the family of swans swim around the lake. Hummingbirds dart through the yard visiting the garden and feeders.
Children can find enough to do playing in the sand and water while you put something delicious on the grill and enjoy a drink in the beautiful breeze. Sit, watch and be amazed at what children can do to fill their time.
Paddle the lake in one of the boats and easily fine nature at work or sit and recall why coming to the lake is so important to family and friends.

The yard is fabulous. The property owners were friendly and accommodating. The only thing we didn't understand from the listing was that you have to walk through a bedroom to get to another bedroom.
The house water had a terrible smell. A couple of the kitchen utensils had bits dried food on them. The heat wasn’t working, but the owners supplied a portable heater that worked well. The owners seemed nice and spent a lot of time trying to get the heat on. The location was great and I loved the kayaks.
Jennifer's house was the perfect place to meet for a girls weekend. It is a very clean house and the view right on the lake was beautiful. Will definitely be back!
We celebrated our son’s 15th birthday with some of his friends and this lakehouse was the perfect set up. The kids were in the water the entire time ; fishing, rowing, swimming and kayaking. The location was wonderful and only an hour and 20 minute trip from Chicago. We would definitely rent again!!
Perfect little get away for my husband and I and 2 dogs. The views were beautiful, flowers, birds, (including swans and hummingbird) fishermen catching fish. Lots of cute art. the dogs loved the lake. It was a little too chilly for us to enjoy the lake, but that’s kinda expected in WI in September. The fireplace kept us toasty.
The house is old, but plenty of places to sleep. Reminds me of Grandmas house with room for the cousins to get together and eat, play and hang out together.
Our hosts were great! Helpful and accessible for questions before and throughout our stay. I would do this one again!
Beautiful view of lake. Quiet surrounding. Comfortable beds. Plenty of places to go out to eat or pickup groceries. Only suggestion for improvements would be update inside rental .
Lovely place in a very nice location. Easily accommodated 5 adults and our pets. We truly appreciated Jennifer's flexibility with adding pets to our stay after the initial booking. The home is older, but has the bonus feature of having several pocket doors allowing us to partition off the house when needed. About 30-40 minutes from Milwaukee, good for a day trip. The real gem of the home is the outdoors. Beautiful and inviting landscaping right on the lake. We also enjoyed and appreciated the use of the kayaks. One of my favorite and unexpected features were seeing hummingbirds daily at the feeders Jennifer puts out. I would stay there again, and highly recommend it.
Lovely lake house with a nostalgic vibe, kind of like your favorite grandparents’ house that you went to as a little kid. Lots of comfortable seating and all the necessities. We really enjoyed the view and watching the humming birds come to the feeder.
We enjoyed the well-kept home, beautiful landscaping, wildlife, and clean water. Our family and dogs swam and kayaked tons. The lake was not too busy, and neighbors were friendly. The home seems on the older side, but we made the close quarters work. The steps to the upper floor are steep, but there was a bedroom for the less physically capable adults on the main floor. Two upper bedrooms are close with a pocket door separating them which needed to stay open for the ac to reach both rooms the master is cozy with a king-sized bed and sometimes became the quiet place. For a week of family connection, we had everything we needed, and the hosts are right next door for questions or problems, which they always addressed in a timely manner. Fun week.
We had a wonderful time with our whole family - including our young adult children, 90 year old dad, and springer spaniel. The house was perfect, and the lake was absolutely beautiful.
Fantastic property on the lake with a gorgeous backyard and steps leading up to the lake. Room on the ground floor is perfect for older people and rest of the quarters upstairs works well for a family with kids. The backyard patio seating at various levels allows for breakfast in a beautiful setting. Two downsides to consider - the water from the taps is metallic. Do not recommend drinking. Bathing will also leave an after smell It's an escape location. Not much close by so recommend to buy from Muskegon and then stay here. Overall still highly recommend the place for the amenities and price
We were very pleased with everything at this property. Clean, cozy & comfortable. We'd love to come back when it's warmer to take advantage of the amenities
The house was adorable! It was just two of us, but there would have been plenty of room for family or a few couples. The lake view was gorgeous. Jennifer was a great host, super easy to communicate with! We were just there to get away from home and relax for a weekend, and it was perfect for that. Would love to come back in the summer, stay a little longer, and make more use of the lake!
Old lake house with plenty of charm and supplied with everything you will need. The weather was perfect and hosts Jennifer and Kevin were wonderful. They gave us a relaxing ride around the lake in the pontoon boat. And the sleep number bed in the master bedroom was awesome. Will definitely be back when we are in the area!

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer
My family bought this house because we enjoy the lake and the neighborhood. When the children finish school we will retire here full time.
Why they chose this property
Waubeesee Lake is secluded enough to feel up like North Wisconsin while it's close enough to Milwaukee and several small towns.
What makes this property unique
We enjoy the nature most of all. The kids enjoy the lake. From sun up to sun set it's all about being in the water. We go from one thing to another. We love to fish, swim, snorkel, boat ride, play with the dog and bike through the neighborhoods.
