We had a wonderful stay at the Cliff House. The proximity to Point Reyes is unbeatable, the views of Tomales Bay are stunning, and the house had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The walk down to Shell Beach was a highlight and the well-stocked kitchen made cooking together a breeze. Mark was a great host and we'd love to come back!
Wonderful views, comfortable beds, very clean accommodations, well supplied kitchen and all the pluses we could ask for. My guests were very pleased with their stay. My wife thought it is the best rental we have stayed at in Inverness in the past 30 years!
We stayed here over the 4th of July week and it couldn’t have been more perfect!
To be able to walk with the kids to Shell beach was a huge plus!
Plenty of room for all of us and killer views!
The cliff house is a wonderful place for a family reunion or other weekend get together. Amazing views, a lovely well stocked kitchen, and everything you need for a very comfortable time. It is also a perfect location. Marilyn communicates well and quickly. We had a wonderful time
The Cliff House was a perfect place to gather family from across the country for a beautiful California weekend wedding nearby. It had everything we needed, and was close enough to stores and restaurants, and a lovely beach, but set up on a beautiful hillside in a quiet neighborhood, with stunning views.
The property had everything we needed to accommodate our extended family - six adults and four children. The location was peaceful and the surroundings, beautiful. The location was convenient to many Point Reyes attractions, and the game room and movie and board game collections were an unexpected bonus.
We had a lovely time at this spot. Wonderful views. Great for folks writing and cooking together. It's a great location. And it's a pleasure, even in the rain, which we had a lot of.
Six of us had a fantastic weekend here. The view from the living room and decks is spectacular, and the property had everything we needed. It's a quick walk to a secluded beach, and we really enjoyed our dinner at the Tap Room. Hope to return!
We loved our long weekend at the Cliff House! Low key and well crafted old NorCal vibe. The space was both cozy and spacious for our crew of 4 kids and 5 adults. Very equipped kitchen, functional fireplace, loads of games in the cupboards, and that view!!! Walking directly to Shell Beach was a huge bonus. We hope to return.
This is our 4th annual Inverness visit and 3rd stay at cliff house. We are a group of childhood friends that were all born and raised in west Marin. We look forward to our summer visit every year and staying at cliff house feels like coming home.
The house was perfect for our group of 6 adults (who all like to have their own bed). The neighborhood is quiet, and it is a quick (but pretty steep) walk down to a public access beach area. It felt a little bit like a 1970's time warp, but I think that is reflected in the photos so it shouldn't come as a surprise. Everything is in good repair, the kitchen was well stocked, and the views of the bay are fantastic. We also appreciated that there was ample parking for our 5 vehicles...that is tough to find in this area.
Everything is fantastic just as described elsewhere. Perhaps not yet noted: the beautifully maintained, vintage 1970s interior design (tiles, formica etc.) is lovely.
A group of seven friends united to have our friend’s private memorial and a reunion this week. Plenty of space, well outfitted kitchen, comfy beds, plenty of soace, big dining room! It for the bill well. We enjoyed our time and the home is rustic but comfortable.
We loved our stay. House is well laid out and very comfortable, with great views of bay. Great hikes 5-10 minutes away. Only disappointment was that, due to fires and COVID, Point Reyes Station is a shadow of its former self (Inverness seems to be doing better).
