We were in the area for a few days visiting family, with our service dog. Chris made us feel immediately welcome (as did his sweet rescue pup!) and we enjoyed the cool basement suite, the great shower and adjustable bed, and the laid back, friendly atmosphere. The location is great as well, plenty of on street parking and a short drive to downtown Longmont or to the mall zone for grocery shopping. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. 10/10.
Great area and had everything but a fan and Chris got one the next day . Had a great dog honey so I didnt miss mine as bad .great host's and very nice place a big thank you to Chris and Knox

Thank you Robert, we absolutely loved having you and would be excited to welcome you again!
Stayed 5 nights for a wedding. 30 minute drive to Trenton at the venue. Not bad at all. The space was very relaxing and had great vibes. The host was super cool and we were able to use the kitchen to cook some of our meals. The space has a nice sitting area and large TV for relaxing at the end of a day. Great place way better than a hotel or just getting a room to sleep in. Would stay again here if back in the area. Very happy with our choice. Great people. Excellent experience
We enjoyed our stay here while visiting my sister. The only thing I didn't like was that the host's living quarters are right above the bedroom, so we could hear them moving around at night after we went to bed, so that is something to consider if you like 100% quiet (I knew when we rented that there were shared areas and that the host lived there, but I did not take into consideration that it could mean we might hear them after we went to bed). We were also only given 1 washcloth for our 4 night stay, and there were two of us, so we had to request additional washcloths. Not a big deal, just a little odd (even hotels give you multiple washcloths). Overall we enjoyed the stay, the hosts were very friendly and accommodating and we would recommend it to others.
This is a shared housing situation with a pair of single men. Christopher met me at the door when I arrived and was very friendly. The resident dog is shy and sweet. To get to the rental space you enter through the front door and walk past the living space on the main level, then descend a staircase into the small basement apartment. It was quite dusty and is crowded with many large furniture items. I would not recommend this space to anyone traveling with children. The art is eclectic. There is no kitchenette downstairs, and the barstools at the tall barrel table are too tall to comfortably use to sit there.Any perishable food must be stored and prepared in kitchen upstairs on the main level. The kitchen is spacious, but not especially clean. The unconditioned wooden cutting boards and several utensils were stored dirty and needed to be washed before using. Pans are Teflon coated and scratched. I had to move items around to make space for my food in the fridge and freezer. The deep soaking tub in the bathroom was nice, but was not clean, so I had to wash it of hair and dust before using it. The bed is comfy, and has a feature that can make it vibrate. There are two contoured memory foam pillows, and two larger puffy pillows. The bedroom curtains do not effectively block the light from entering, and are tricky to use because of the extra table placed in front of the window. TLDR: Overall, I enjoyed my two night stay here. Comfy bed, nice tub, centrally located.

About the host
Hosted by Chris Schuhmann
Chris is a teacher at a private school in the local area and a small business owner. Chris is also an AMGA rock guide and loves the mountains surrounding Longmont. He would be excited to take guests for a guided hike or rock climb in the legendary Boulder area!
What makes this property unique
Chris grew up in the Bourbon country of Kentucky and has a nostalgia for that classic decor of brick, wood, and stone. He has perfectly encapsulated this feel from the early century in the private Speakeasy Suite and is super excited to share its comforts with you! He is also a French teacher, and has taken this passion up to the "French Lofts", the two upstairs bedrooms.
