Soothing modern Oakland Hills treehouse with large deck

Tucked into the trees, this modern treehouse cabin is a quiet escape just minutes from the city. The living room has two sofa beds and plenty of room to stretch out after a day of exploring. In the bedroom, an expansive California King with a Helix Midnight mattress makes for the kind of sleep you go on vacation for.

Mornings are best on the deck under the redwoods, coffee in hand, squirrels and birds chasing each other through the branches. Local deer wander through nearly every day. WiFi and a washer keep the practical side covered.

A note on the space: This is my primary home, and I love sharing it with travelers. I usually arrange travel during guest stays. The property also has a detached cottage/studio that I reserve the right to use if needed, it has its own separate entrance. You’ll have the entire main house to yourself either way. Happy to swap recommendations and stories over a fire if you’re up for it, or stay out of your way entirely, just let me know what you’d prefer.
