A hidden oasis in historic DeLand! We absolutely loved our stay! Casa Cascada feels like a hidden tropical oasis tucked away in DeLand’s Historic Garden District. The lush landscaping, koi ponds, waterfalls and unique architecture make it easy to forget you’re right near downtown. The attention to detail is incredible—there’s something beautiful and interesting around every corner. The Casita was clean, comfortable and full of character, and at night the gardens and waterfalls take on an almost magical atmosphere.qqA truly unique hidden gem—we would absolutely stay again.
This place is a true gem! Every time we stay here I feel like we were transported to an island in the Caribbean. Owners are super friendly, the rooms are clean and full of character. DeLand is a fantastic small town with lots to offer.
it was so beautiful down to every detail in the decor and plants in the amazing courtyard spring fed pool. great location and such a great get away. we would for sure visit again
There is no other place as beautiful or calming as this piece of heaven. Sprung forth from pure imagination, lovingly created, proof that dreams do come true. Every detail to invite you to stop and stay awhile. Michael and Shasta have carefully curated the perfect recharge station within walking distance to small town main street in the heart of Deland. Filled with infinite culinary experiences and local artisans, this quaint stretch is a strolling delight. A truly awesome experience!
As a college recruiter I get the opportunity to stay in some pretty unique locations. This Casa is a gem among comparable getaways anywhere in the world and should be a priceless staple in Deland, FL. Swimming in the natural pool with the Coy fish was so relaxing after weeks of travel. The kitchen is well equipped. I was able to better manage my macros having the full kitchen this week. And the tub, the tub. Im 6’3” 350 lbs and was still able to relax in the tub. That tub can handle two or leave more room for one. Tonight, as I pack to leave, I’m washing my clothes here, priceless. Rest, good food, relaxing swim, stress releasing in the tub, and going home with clean clothes ready for another week of travel… so much better than a hotel or just an average apt. Book this place and see for yourself.
The level of detail spent by the owners was visable as soon as you arrive. The Casita layout was enjoyable and well presented. The owners met us on arrival giving us a layout of Deland and what it offered. The tranqulity found was amazing, the poool, running warer allowed the sounds of nature to put us to sleep each night. A MUST stay if you are in thr area and is available.
Wow! This place is custom built and amazing. Very private and quaint. There are only two VRBO units opposite of the owners house. In between is a beautiful Artesian pool and water features that you must see in person. Two blocks from the amazing downtown, an easy and safe walk. We regret that we couldn't stay longer. The owners are awesome, too. See it to believe it.Capt. John worldfamousboattours.com

Thanks, Captain, we look forward to you and your wife's next visit!
Our stay at this incredible VRBO felt like discovering a hidden sanctuary—an eclectic, artistic retreat that perfectly blends nature, creativity, and comfort. Every corner of the space was thoughtfully curated, full of character and charm, making it feel less like a rental and more like a living piece of art.The natural surroundings were truly rejuvenating. Lush greenery, peaceful outdoor spaces, and the soothing sounds of nature made it easy to unwind and fully relax. It’s the kind of place where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and feel completely recharged. What makes this location even more special is its proximity to downtown. Despite feeling like a secluded paradise, you’re just minutes away from great restaurants, shops, and local attractions—offering the best of both worlds. And then there are the hosts—simply amazing. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in creating a memorable experience. One of them is a renowned architect specializing in pedestrian-friendly communities, and you can absolutely feel that influence in the design and flow of the space. It’s intentional, human-centered, and inspiring. If you’re looking for a unique, peaceful, and beautifully designed getaway with exceptional hosts, this place is truly something special. We can’t wait to return.
words to describe my stay at this all natural resort: quiet, peaceful, serene, tranquil It is truly a masterpiece of nature, including but not limited to, the calming waterfall, pool with live coy fish, a plethora of colorful flowers and plush gardens, and hand-crafted artwork. woke up to pleasant music from the modern Vizio TV and bright rays of sun shining through my window. Can hear the chirping birds and smell the fragrances of the flowers. Mr. Michael Arth has worked very hard to make the latest of his many dreams become reality; and the city of Deland,FL has become a better place thanks to him. Mr. Arth has the ability to see the potential beauty of the property and can visualize what he can make it look like and become. Then he builds it with said vision; another masterpiece created. Thank you Mr. Arth and Shasta for such a pleasant, relaxing, and accommodating stay. I would thoroughly recommend the suites at the Casa Cascada at 202 Voorhis Ave. for your lodging needs in the Deland and West Volusia area
Casita was not just a place to stay for a few days: From the time we drove through the entry into the parking area, we knew that we were at a destination that instantly became a magical and meaningful find. We were greeted by our host couple with the vitality of people who were not simply keepers of the sleepers: They loved the extraordinary residence they created and shared it generously. Entering the walled residences was like be transported to a foreign, exotic landscape of tropical genius; completely free of presumption; odd considering the genius of the exotic landscape including; the feature of a koi spa/swim area where you could chill in the natural spring spa surrounded by koi that almost immediately approached your feet, their caressing tender kisses to your submerged body; an over the top experience by the fish concierge. Inside our short term home, the flare of a thoughtful decor; somewhat eclectic and influenced by what felt like a collaboration of eastern Asian and a tropical retreat; historic and thoughtful. Whatever your reason to visit DELAND, you will be blessed with a complete reset of why you're there. Michael & Shasta, the hosts, are people you will be happy to have met. By the way, the amenities in the studios are simple and typically what you would expect without apology. It's all good and secondary to the meaningful experience of being there. Our retreat also offered a number of books written by Michael; sensibly & artfully. A '10'; Burt & Sherry
This place is truly magical. This stay was a present for my daughter who graduated from Stetson this weekend. She loved everything about it. Where else might you have the chance to swim with Koi? Thank you!
