It was family weekend at TTU - so much higher price than typical. I think had we paid the 99/night it would have been more on par for what this house offered, but even then I wouldnt pay to stay again. Upon arrival, the keypad on door did not work. Messaged owner who eventually shared the code for the lockbox next to the door. It was raining at the time we arrived and there’s no gutters so we were soaked. There’s no grass so mud was unavoidable. Once inside we found there’s multiple issues. Broken beds, broken flooring, random patch work like parts of the floor under the ceiling fan - I’m assuming to prevent it from shaking - lights and fans that don’t work in various rooms and living room, shower handle in guest bath is falling off, 2 rolls of single ply toilet paper which are party of 7 for 3 nights didn’t last. Hardly anything in the kitchen - definitely not stocked for 500/night. The stars earned on this house is purely the location. The pond and park were definitely a great perk for us as we enjoy evening walks. We travel a lot and rent many houses, this one was by far the worst in our experience and would recommend to future renters to know before coming that the owners do not provide much of anything at all so definitely bring toilet paper and your kitchen materials if you plan to eat there.
The house itself was ok, but the host didn’t respond very quickly and never got us a microwave. The microwave didn’t work from day one and took 2 days to get maintenance over there to check it and the lights in the living room and one of the bedrooms. We could only take a shower in the guest bathroom because the latch wouldn’t go down to fill tub.The cleaners didn’t clean very well and only left us 2 laundry pods and 2 rolls of toilet paper when we were staying there for a week. Probably wouldn’t stay again!!!
