Welcome to Kilbuck Creek
Nestled in 200 acres of woods and tucked away just south of Rockford Illinois, our facilities at Kilbuck Creek are the perfect destination to escape the hustle and bustle of your busy lives. Our beautiful log cabin home is the perfect place to reconnect with loved ones, and our ceremony site and reception hall make for an idyllic setting for Weddings!
Reset your mind and soul with a walk in our 5 miles of groomed trails, and after you have soaked up all the sounds of nature, come on in and soak in our large indoor spa. When your ready for some fun, splash into our indoor pool and have fun creating memories that will last a lifetime. Our pool and spa are open all rear round!
The Kilbuck Creek runs along side the property, so bring your fishing poles, kayaks, and floating tubes to enjoy the fun side of nature!

If your interested in renting a golf cart to tour the property and trails with, please message us and we can setup payment and contract separately!

Booking Details:
Fees are based on 20 guests, sleeps 40. $50 per guest per night for additional guests.

Butterfly Cabin Suite: Sleeps 4-5 guests $180-$310 per night (message us for price list)

Horse Stable Cabin Suite: Sleeps 4-7 guests $200-$360 per night (message us for price list)

Kilbuck Creek is not just a business to us, and it’s not just a house, it’s a place where family and friends get to come together and spend quality time with each other in a world where time goes by far too fast. As the owner of this property, I have raised all 6 of my children here, and I've handpicked almost everything you see in the house. My kids grew up coming down the stairs on Christmas morning, or playing in the woods till the sun went down, and we have spent countless meals together in this kitchen. This home and property holds so many special memories and means so much to our family, and we love that we can now share this special place with other families so they can experience that joy as well.
Having said that, it is with the utmost sincerity that we ask you to treat our home with the respect it deserves. Please understand that this isn’t just a business to us, this is where my children have been raised and where we still come together to spend quality time with each other. Our cleaning staff is like family to us, and they put a lot of time and energy into getting the house ready for each group. Please help them out by picking up the house before checkout, it’s greatly appreciated!!

All groups must have an I.D. to present at check in, and we will be looking into each group that requests to book.

This worked perfect for our staff retreat! The amount of rooms was wonderful and we really enjoyed ourselves at the pool and hot tub. It’s great that you have all the grounds to yourself; lots of space for families to run around and for anyone to get “lost” in!

Kilbuck Creek was such an incredible surprise. The photos do not do it justice. Plenty of room for our 20 family members and the pool was the fun center for everyone. The large dining table was the site for many late night intense board games. And lots of fun activities are found within short driving distance.

We were four families wanting to spend the 4th of July weekend together. It worked out well for us since it ended up being rainy all weekend. The kids loved the indoor pool and hot tub! We loved that the pool room was separate with a separate lock - I felt especially safe with the kids being there. We enjoyed the extra kitchen attached to the pool room. I believe it’s in the listing but definitely bring more paper towels. We forgot… there was enough for the weekend but we could have used more to divide them up better. The property is amazing. It’s off the beaten path and you truly feel like you’re away from all the hustle and bustle. It was fun looking at the horses, too! We had a blast and we hope to do it again!

Omg, I don't know where to start. This rental was amazing! The space is incredibly huge, relaxing and the most convenient for large groups. The kitchen made me want to stay forever! 10 stars is what's deserved but 5 will have to do!

Our stay at Kilbuck Creek with our family of 25 was better than described on their site! Comfortable beds, lots of room to spread out, very clean, lots of warm water for all our showers, pool and hot tub well maintained, well stocked kitchen, birds for our entertainment, beautiful property, I could go on and on. This hidden gem served our family very well. Thank you for allowing us to use your home! We all decided we need to come stay again when the weather is warmer to enjoy the outdoor areas too!

This place is a hidden gem! We visited with a family of 12 adults and 10 children and everyone from ages 4 weeks to 75 had a blast. Well stocked kitchen, great amenities, amazing pool and hot tub. We will definitely be back!

As others have said, this property is everything that is in the listing, and more. We stayed on a Tuesday through a Friday with 10 people, 4 couples and 2 singles. Everyone had their own bedroom, although a couple of people had to share a bathroom. Sophie’s room is fully accessible and there is a ramp into the lodge, so someone who uses a wheelchair or walker will do fine. The entire first floor is easily navigated. The big kitchen has plenty of room for cooking. We had dinner in all three nights. The swimming pool is very nice. Not a full 25 yards, but bigger than I expected. I swam short laps and we played water volleyball. The hot tub is large and comfortable. Being inside and away from bugs was a plus. Never too hot in the pool room. The bridal sweet is palatial. We had no newly weds so we awarded the room to the folks who came the farthest. They were surprised at the big shower with two heads but loved it. The lodge is remote but easy to find with GPS. We enjoyed walking the wooded trails around the property’s 200 acres. The big lawn had plenty of room for us to set up croquet. And we had a nice fire in the fire pit one night. One day we drove up to Rockford to go to the Anderson Japanese Gardens, The next day we went to picturesque Oregon. Loved their art museum featuring local artists. Notes for visitors: bring your own soap and shampoo and condiments.. There is a Weber grill. We brought charcoal but there was plenty there. Great Place!

The cabin was lovely, the indoor pool and jacuzzi were a welcomed treat; especially during the cooler temps - but the water temperature could have been a bit warmer. We enjoyed exploring the hiking trails and to our surprise seeing the Northern Lights. Excited to return again!

We were fortunate enough to spend a couple of days with 5 other couples at Kilbuck Creek and are already looking forward to booking our next stay. The house is huge with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need to unleash your inner chef. The pool house is an added bonus, especially in the cold winter months and is where we spent most of our time. It was nice to take long walks on property in such a private and gorgeous setting. We had a couple of quick questions upon arrival and our texts were answered in a very timely fashion. We could not possibly recommend this place more! Thank you to the owners for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Hi everyone!! I raised my beautiful children in this home, so needless to say we have so many memories here! It seems like these kids of mine decided to grow up on me overnight and now have their own homes and their own children. So I decided to downsize into a more functional home, but I wasn't quite ready to let go of this property that we all loved so much.
So that is how our home and property became Kilbuck Creek!
Our company is a family run business and we absolutely love hosting everyone's events! To see peoples face light up when they see our place puts a smile on my face and in my heart!

Kilbuck Creek is such a unique vacation rental and venue. Our spacious home hidden in the woods, is the perfect location to gather and really enjoy quality time with each other. The 3 level home gives you some space to stretch, but still feels warm and cozy.
The indoor pool and spa makes our home perfect for all season round fun!
The property has chipped trails to explore the woods, and the Kilbuck Creek runs right along the property (hence the name of the company).
