The place was really awesome. We wanted a place close to Ft Worth downtown to do things. But the location was even better being next to TCU and all the things around it. Everything we pretty much needed was in the house. We would definitely get this place again.
Our 3rd stay here. Location is excellent, about 2 blocks from edge of TCU campus. It's an older home and that shows, but it's generally updated very well. We anticipate staying here on future visits.
Great location, close to TCU and Fort Worth Zoo and museums. Sharon is a great host and the Craftsman home is so comfortable supplied with everything you could need, coffee, comfy bed, books and plenty of room to relax. We will definitely be back!
The house is beautiful and comfortable. Ample A/C, soap, linens, and kitchen items to take care of every need. Small decorative touches and comfortable furniture gives an elegant yet relaxed ambiance.

About the host
Hosted by Sharon Mays
I'm a native of Ft. Worth, TCU alum, love travel, museums, art, music, hiking, driving across the country, reading, cooking and spending time with family, friends and my dogs Alfie and Scooter. My husband and I are retired and spend time traveling to visit our children and grandchildren. We love to stay in Airbnb properties - we feel like we get a better understanding and appreciation for the town instead of staying in an institutional feeling hotel.
Why they chose this property
I've lived in this neighborhood both in my childhood and as an adult with my own family for many years. I purchased several homes in the neighborhood as investments. I like to remodel and update older homes. The University House had been a rental for many years until we decided to move into it ourselves for a brief period. After our experiences in other places staying in Airbnb rentals - we decided to set University House up for short-term rentals so others could enjoy the great location and a stay in a vintage home instead of a hotel. We love this neighborhood and all the unique offerings nearby: TCU events, bike trail, restaurants, zoo, museums, downtown, Magnolia, W. 7th, and of course the great shopping at University Village.
