Great rental and location

The place was in a great location in Ellsworth and was clean and quiet. Would highly recommend if you are looking for someplace near Acadia.

The place is nice, very bright, airy and clean. The location is also nice, very quiet and easy to find.However, the fold-out sofa broke while my child was sleeping on it, and the owner accused us of letting her jump on it and charged us an extra 300 for repairs. We do not let our child jump on furniture, especially when it doesn’t belong to us, and we do not have any need to or interest in lying to anyone about that. Overall, a pretty sour closing to a lovely family trip.

Elizabeth, we contacted the sofa company to inquire if anything along the lines of what occurred with a small child (or anyone for that matter) sleeping on one portion of this particular couch has been reported. We sent them pictures and videos and even they determined that the extent of damage had to of occurred due to misuse and they would not cover any damages. We did not see/find any damage prior to your stay. I am sorry you felt accused and it left a sour taste in your mouth. I am glad you enjoyed the property and had an overall nice visit to our area.
