The creekside cottage was lovely. When we arrived on Thursday, there was a quaint farmers market just next door to the rental at the public park. We purchased fruit, veggies and baked goods for the weekend. We spent an evening at the ‘beach’ at the park with lawn chairs provided by the rental. The cottage was purposely appointed: no clutter, everything necessary for an easy time. We totally enjoyed. Thank you Jenni Allen for being a fabulous host.

Everything was amazing! The cabin is beautiful, the location was gorgeous. It felt like a retreat!! The hosts were so friendly and easy to communicate with.

Redwoods, Creek, Paradise

We loved our stay here. The home had everything we needed and was immaculate. Loved that we could walk to some delicious pizza, grocery stores, and of course, bask in the beauty of some marvelous redwoods.

Fabulous very clean creekside cabin in ideal location! We were able to see San Francisco, hike the redwood forest and visit beaches (Santa Cruz, Monterey and Carmel). We also had several home days creek play, cold plunge, movies and great coffee! The fresh apples, lemons and oranges were such a treat! Thank you Jenni!

Everything was perfect Jenni was so warm and friendly. Helped guide us on activities to do, local restaurants, grocery stores etc. This modern cabin has everything. You feel like your in a tree house with beautiful redwoods all around. The creek was amazing to watch everyday it rained a good amount. Just a beautiful place.

Fantastic redwoods getaway

I rarely leave reviews but our wonderful experience at the charming creekside cottage demands I make an exception. What a perfect spot to get away from everything for a few days. The house is recently remodeled and more than comfortable. The setting is wonderful. Close enough to Santa Cruz, multiple state parks and the coast to invite a range of adventures. And the host was very accommodating and engaged. Put this spot at the top of your list.

The host was welcoming and responded swiftly the place is in a beautiful setting right by the river. We were able to take long walks in beautiful places every morning.It is an old house and the only issue we had was dealing with heaters rather than central heating so it was a little challenging to keep things evenly warmWhich would not be an issue in spring or summer?

Thank you for staying at the Cottage and for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed the beautiful setting and the walks by the river. I’m sorry that using the portable heaters felt challenging during the colder winter nights. Because the Cottage was built in the 1940s, it doesn’t have central heat—something noted in the listing—and like many vintage homes in the redwoods, we use space heaters to keep things comfortable. I understand this can feel different for guests visiting in January.

Relaxing Surroundings, Well-equipped Home

My family and I, 3 adults and 2 grandchildren, enjoyed our stay greatly. The home was clean, attractive, comfortable, and well-equipped with kitchen utensils, cookware, appliances, and dishes. Further, there were basic food stuffs that I was grateful I didn't have to purchase, i.e. mayonnaise, spices, sugar, coffee, tea, olive oil, etc. I was very relieved that there was a full-sized refrigerator, as I brought several trays of home-made entrees for my family. My daughter was thrilled that IPhone chargers were in the drawers for us to use. The sound of the flowing creek behind the house gave much pleasure to the boys. The owner is very responsive, kind, and open to questions and requests. Definitely a wonderful experience.
