Beautiful log cabin with 3 bedroom and extra large sleeping loft in Elkins, WV and is the perfect home base for your mountain getaway with hot tub, fire pit, fenced in back yard, covered picnic area & small Koi pond. In walking distance Shavers Fork of the Cheat River for fishing (stocked), swimming, kayaking and floating. Near many recreational areas: Elkins (9m), Mountian Scenic Train (10m), Canaan Valley Resort (28m), Timberline Ski Resort (27m), Black Waterfall State Park (34m) Seneca Rocks (26m) Snowshoe Mountian Resort (58m).

The cabin was very nice and clean overall. However, we had a few concerns during our stay. The doors did not appear to lock properly, which made us feel uneasy. Additionally, the lights on the lower level remained on at all times, and since we were unsure whether anyone was down there, it was a bit unsettling, especially for our granddaughters.We were also disappointed that the hot tub had a noticeable mildew odor, so we did not use it very much. Another concern was that the front windows were boarded up, which was not shown in the VRBO listing photos. We stayed at this property two years ago and felt that it was not as well maintained this time around.While we enjoyed aspects of our stay, we believe the property would benefit from some updates and better communication regarding its current condition.

All the French doors do lock you have to pull up on Handle and turn knob . The lights in the Basement stays on noone stays in the Basement . The hot tub when hot you beed to take top off for a few mins the smell is due to the top being all while hot . If you had any concerns the numbers are in the Cabin you could have called and ask us .
