Beautiful 4 bedroom /2 bathroom (sleeps 8) Victorian beach house with modern style and amenities and a charming 3 bedroom/1 bathroom cottage (sleeps 5) just steps away on the property. Total of seven bedrooms! Sleeps 12 very comfortably! This listing (price shown on calendar) is for the main house only (4 bedroom/2 bathroom), with an option to include a 3 bedroom/1 bathroom cottage for an additional $800/night.
Cheerful seaside family compound perfect for large extended family or multi families that want to vacation together. Sprawling property large enough to allow for a variety of recreational activities, large inground swimming pool with lounge chairs and umbrellas for sunbathing, propane grill and a long outdoor dining table with 10 chairs for barbecuing (additional dining tables are located on cottage porch and by the swimming pool), expansive lawn for privacy, relaxing and recreational activities. Private and tranquil, set on 2 acres. Relax by the fire pit in the Adirondack chairs. Three minutes walk to beautiful private West Beach. There are two lovely outdoor showers on the property.
Close to many enchanting towns to spend an afternoon exploring, like Madison, Old Saybrook, Essex, Chester, Mystic. Wonderful restaurants to dine by the seaside, casual or award winning. There’s something for everyone; Hammonasset Beach State Park, public golf courses, famous Clinton outlet shopping, Essex Steam Train, Gillette Castle, Florence Griswold Museum, Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium.
Enjoy the most beautiful sundrenched long days on the beach, evening walks, family dinners, and everything the Connecticut shoreline has to offer.

This is a beautiful property in a wonderful location - with four children they loved the pool, s’mores by the fire, walks to the beach and even got a visit from a local ice cream truck! The owner has thoughtfully provided many amenities including a well stocked kitchen and toiletries!

magical memories!

This home was an excellent place for our larger group stay. We enjoyed time lounging by the pool, cocktails on the cottage porch, the absolute bliss of multiple outdoor showers, and the well equipped kitchen (and grill!). To top it off there’s a short lovely stroll to the beach, and equally close ice cream! The host Ingrid was wonderfully responsive and helpful. Our whole group was SO pleased with our stay, and I’ll be saving the link for future adventures!

Beautiful property! From the moment we checked in, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in this well-appointed, beautifully decorated beach home. The owners have truly thought of everything—from plush towels to thoughtful touches like extra toothbrushes and kitchen essentials that made our stay effortless. We spent relaxing mornings on the charming front porch with coffee in hand, and afternoons lounging in the shade by the in-ground pool. The spacious back yard, complete with a dining table that comfortably seats ten, was perfect for al fresco meals and evening gatherings by the fire-pit.What makes this home especially memorable is its blend of historic charm and modern comfort. Original architectural details—like ornate moldings, and original wood floors—add character throughout, while the cozy, plush furnishings and updated amenities make it feel like a true retreat.
