We had a great time in the cabin. We even walked around the neighborhood. So peaceful.

Really appreciate the kind words! Sounds like you soaked up the calm vibes out there. That peaceful walk through the neighborhood is one of the best parts of staying at the cabin. Glad you had a great time and we’d love to have you back anytime.
Check in was a breeze and host was quick to reply to communications. Cabin was much bigger than expected and could accommodate multiple families or a large group. Property was easy to find and in a very quiet neighborhood. The entire house was immaculate and with plenty of plates, flatware and glasses to use. Appreciated abundance of smaller kitchen appliances available to use as well as the washer and dryer. The only thing we needed to bring was ourselves, our luggage and our preferred groceries. You’re given a starter supply of toilet paper and paper towels and you will need to restock yourself. There are outdoor games available like cornhole and volleyball along with tons of board games and a library. We chose this location because it seemed to be central to Phoenix airport, Grand Canyon, Fossil Creek Falls, Old Canyon Creek, Sedona, and Williams. Our whole family loved the cabin and will keep this on the list to rebook in the future next time we visit Arizona!

Thank you for the fantastic review. This is exactly the kind of stay we want folks to have. Easy arrival, plenty of room to spread out, a clean and comfy place to land, and all the extras that keep things simple. We are so glad the cabin worked as your home base for exploring Arizona and that it earned a spot on your rebook list. That means a lot. We would love to have your family back anytime.

Initial steps into the property we were hit with an obnoxious odor. Few more steps into the house leads to the kitchen where the smell was the worst. The smell was so bad we had to leave the property. Noticing the rat bait best guess was that the smell was from decaying rodent(s). The host was contacted immediately and after a few back-and-forth messages over VBRO app the host offered to have cleaner come and deal with the smell. Earliest to clean was next day which never happened. We requested refund for all 4 days we booked. Still being strung along and waiting for the refund. DO not stay here, find somewhere else to stay.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Totally get how frustrating that must have been, and we're really sorry the smell threw things off right from the start. That’s not the kind of welcome we ever want for our guests.
We did try to jump on it quickly and offered to send our cleaner first thing the next morning. You let us know you were heading to a hotel, which we completely respect, but we still had our team stop by to check things out. No sign of anything dead, just a musty smell, probably from all the recent rain and the house being tucked in the woods. We dropped in some plug ins to help clear the air for future stays.
We did go ahead and issue a partial refund as a gesture of goodwill. We stand by the home being in good condition, but we always want our guests to feel taken care of. Wishing you better luck on your next trip.
