About this property

Dollhouse #4 at Portage Point Resort

Built in the 1920s, these vintage cottages were often called "honeymoon cabins" due to their cozy size. Our lakeside Resort is located on Portage Lake, with Lake Michigan access merely 5 minutes away on-foot. The Resort boasts an Infinity Edge pool and hot tub right on Portage Lake, an on-site bar and café, and on-site laundry in the Pavilion building.
The space
Dollhouse #4 features one bedroom with a queen bed, dresser, Keurig pod coffee maker, and TV with basic local cable, as well as one bathroom with a standing shower.
Guest access
Free washer/dryer access is available on the first floor of the Pavilion building across the street (by the pool and hot tub). Extra bathrooms and showers are also located inside the Pavilion building, as well as a baby changing station inside the handicap access shower & bathroom room.
Other things to note
Please note that our vintage Dollhouse cottages operate on a sensitive septic system. Any materials flushed down the toilet besides the provided bath tissue will severely risk a septic system backup (including up through the shower).

Great weekend getaway

Dollhouse was great for a weekend getaway. It was cute, clean, air conditioned and close to lake & beach. Had a fridge & microwave too.

We enjoyed our little dollhouse for a couple of nights. Very quiet, comfy bed, fridge, coffee. Shower very small, but manageable for short stay. We had a great time, walked to Lake Michigan, explored grounds.

Wonderful!

Amazing location, cool with air conditioner and great size. Do think the shower could use a new liner, but that’s is a small thing. Thankful to be able to bring our dog and enjoy the wonderful resort

Nice cottage with great location.

My wife and I booked this cottage for a 3 day getaway. The host was a great communicator and was willing to help us with any information we needed. The cottage is in a great location. Real close to Lake Michigan with a view of Portage Lake. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The only negative is the shower is very small and hard to move around in. Overall an extremely positive experience and I would definitely stay again.

Place needs some fixing up, mattress was worn out, locals squeeling tires down the road right infront of the hotel numerous times into late at night. Took an hour to get a pizza, difficulty getting someone to find out about check in.

It was cute and despite being small still had a decent amount of room. Bed comfy. Easy walk to beach. The only downside was the shower. It was very small, the curtains were too long, the shower rod didn’t stick to walls very well, and the shower head didn’t have the best directed spray. It was doable for a week.

The dollhouse was cute but needs some TLC. The shower was super small. Using the Wasted space behind the shower wall would remedy this. Windows were terribly dirty. I was afraid to open them and get a fresh breeze due to the fort and spiders. Host took hours to get back with you. Porch and siding needs paintng. The bathroom sink was also chipped and cracked and knee replacing. Overall, a cute place to stay, but it’s not being maintained well. A/c unit was also filthy. The photos used on the VRBO website are old pictures and not representative of its current condition
