My husband and I are long time residents of Springfield with careers in State Government (him) and Real Estate (me) After retiring, the sunny beaches of Florida beckoned us to Naples where we spent the first 5 yrs year around. Realizing we loved the weather, but missed the kids and grands so decided to try the best of both worlds and became snowbirds. We purchased 121 sight unseen realizing it was a jewel of a home that rarely comes on the market with the best of both worlds of mid-century quality and updated modern conveniences. We now spend our summers there and offer it to you the other 9 months of the year to enjoy as well. Not a typical rental, we are dedicated to the needs of people who need a month or more of temporary residence and have hosted many people in the medical community as well as government. You will find all the conveniences of home in our fully stocked residence to ease the time away from family and friends whether you are house-hunting or working temporarily on assignment.
Why they chose this property
Having sold several hundred homes in Springfield over 34 years I was well acquainted with neighborhoods and the advantages they each offer. The Historic West Side dates back to the days of Abraham LIncoln and enjoys large shady trees, quaint brick streets and convenience to the Capitol and Medical complexes. Factor in a nice jog or shortbike ride to Washington Park, and 10 minutes to west side shopping and restaurants, we zeroed in on English Ave and have enjoyed all the months we have spent there.
