ABOUT HOBE SOUND
Once known as Picture City, Hobe Sound was reimagined in the 1920s land boom with streets named for Greek and Roman gods — Zeus, Saturn, Mercury, Mars, Olympus. That charm never left. Today it's one of South Florida's most beloved hidden gems — uncrowded beaches, world-class nature preserves, a walkable town center, and none of the overdevelopment that defines the rest of the Gold Coast. Jupiter Island, home to some of the most valuable real estate in the country, sits just across the bridge. Zephyr House puts you at the center of all of it.

About the host

Hosted by Matt & Nasseem Hesler

Host profile image
We are Nasseem and Matt, proud Hobe Sounders and hands-on hosts who manage every detail of Zephyr House ourselves — from the Illy coffee waiting on the counter to the beach chairs ready at the door. We take genuine pride in the property and it shows in how our guests experience it.
We fell in love with Hobe Sound for all the reasons our guests keep coming back — the banyan tree tunnel walk to the beach, the walkable town center, the laid-back Treasure Coast pace, and the kind of natural beauty that is increasingly hard to find in South Florida. Sharing that through Zephyr House is something we care about deeply.
We are highly responsive and always available if you need us — but we respect your privacy completely and let you enjoy your stay without interruption. You will hear from us before you arrive with everything you need, and we are always just a message away if anything comes up.
We hope Zephyr House becomes your Hobe Sound home base.

Why they chose this property

We have spent a lot of time in this part of Florida, and Zeus Park has always stood out. There is something about the way this neighborhood feels — peaceful, welcoming, and just the right mix of charm and convenience. Close enough to walk to everything, yet quiet enough to feel like a true retreat.
The streets are lined with oaks and palms, and you will often see neighbors out for a stroll or heading to the local cafe. Evenings here have a rhythm of their own — live music nearby at Sound Brewing, the scent of jasmine in the air, and the occasional sound of laughter drifting from a backyard gathering.
What we love most is the balance: you are minutes from the beach, world-class nature preserves, and great food, but the neighborhood still holds onto that small-town Old Florida vibe. And there is history here too — Zeus Park was named during Hobe Sound's 1920s land boom when the town was briefly reimagined as Picture City, with streets named for Greek and Roman gods. That charm never left.
It is the kind of place that makes you feel like you have truly gotten away — and we knew from the start it was the right home for Zephyr House.

What makes this property unique

What makes Zephyr House genuinely different is not any single amenity — it is the cumulative effect of every detail being considered before you even think to ask.
The kitchen is stocked with Illy coffee, teas, cold beverages, snacks, spices, and pantry staples. Cold water is waiting in the fridge. Beach chairs and towels are ready at the door. Charcoal and wood are provided for the Weber grill and chiminea. Laundry detergent is in the laundry room. A local guide to the best dining, coffee, and experiences in Hobe Sound is waiting on the counter. Early check-in availability is communicated proactively before you arrive.
The spaces themselves are genuinely special — a king suite with skylit ensuite bath, a screened tropical patio that becomes the heart of every stay, a lush private backyard with chiminea garden, and a dedicated game room with air hockey, darts, oversized Jenga, and croquet.
But what guests mention most consistently in their reviews is simpler than any of that — they felt taken care of from the moment they arrived. That is what we set out to create, and it is what we are most proud of.
