We had an excellent stay. The property was exactly as described, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The host was great to work with and communicated promptly throughout the entire process. Everything went smoothly, and we had no issues during our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property to others.

I would totally recommend this cottage. It was clean, incredibly spacious, comfy, and had everything we needed. The host was great at communicating and everything was smooth. The cottage is so close to the bay and some restaurants. The wifi was reliable. I would definitely stay again.

Description said 9 beds sleeps 12. There were 3 twin beds and 3 couches. The air temp was 84. We finally found a Nest controller under a picture. It would not cool down and stay cool through the night. There were ants in the kitchen. There was a dishwasher but no dishwashing soap. The "bed" in the room that was attached to the handicapped bathroom was a couch that was opened up as a bed. It was extremely uncomfortable. There was a lot of space for a wheelchair to get around in the bath and bedrooms. The handheld shower attachment was about 7 feet above the shower floor. It was a little tricky getting it down so it could be used.

Hi Helen, All of this information regarding beds and layout are in the description and property details. We’re sorry we couldn’t meet your expectations, and wish you’d shared any of this info with us during your stay - especially if a round of pest control was needed! Neither guests before or after you reported that issue, but we included extra pest control in your check-out clean. Hope you stay again, glad you found the house roomy and accessible for a wheelchair user.

House was great and very clean. The property and drive were large enough to make maneuvering the boat in and out easy. Great host and very helpful on meeting all our needs.

I would not recommend this location at all. Other than being ADA compliant as advertised, I would not recommend. We had issues from the moment we arrived. The front door keypad would not work. The digital keypad would not respond and at times, the numbers would flash. We eventually got in after sometimes 10 tries but had continued issues and were afraid of getting locked out. When we arrived, the house was very hot. We found no thermostat. I reached out to the host and was told the thermostat concealed UNDER a wall picture, NOT visible. It was at 81 degrees and 12 hours later, was still not to target temperature. We were never comfortable in the house. In South Texas in the summer, if you are expecting guests, you don't have the thermostat preset to 81 degrees. The place was very dirty upon our arrival. Bugs on counters, sofa and chair covers had stains or bugs on them. Trash can and oven had dried food. Lights in some rooms did not work. Host initially was responding and then you could tell that our discomfort and problems were of no concern to them. We ended up staying at a hotel for night two of our booked VRBO stay. I reached out to the host and requested a partial refund and was told no! He declined to accept anything I showed proof of. And the worst part of the stay was the bedding had fleas. Property allow pets although we did not have pets with is. But we found fleas in the bedding and submitted the host with videos to prove. Would not recommend

We are long time Seadrifters, recently transplanted to Austin for family. We can't stand to part with our slice of bayside heaven, so we'll share it with you in the meantime.

Why they chose this property

We chose Seadrift in 1994, and we'll keep choosing it every day.

What makes this property unique

This is an extra large lot, because it's actually multiple lots! We've had RVs, tiny homes, tents, and more on the property for family reunions and longer term stays. From the driveway, it's line-of-sight to the bay and pier, as well as the seawall park and pavilion.
