The cabin was very clean and in a great location with access to town and hiking trails. Loved ending the day with a drink on the porch.

Response from VrboOwner on 10 Oct 2025
Douglas was an absolutely fantastic guest during his stay the first week of October. It’s always refreshing to return to the property and find everything in perfect order—clean, cared for, and treated with the same respect as if it were his own home. I couldn’t have asked for a more thoughtful and considerate tenant.
From the moment he arrived, it was clear Douglas was going to be a pleasure to host. Communication was smooth, and he left the space feeling welcoming and ready for my own use, which speaks volumes about his attention to detail and respect for the home.
I truly hope he enjoyed his time here, and he’s welcome back anytime. Guests like Douglas make hosting a joy!
About the host
Hosted by Ryan Goodwin
I’m originally from Maine and grew up skiing at Sugarloaf, so the Western Mountains have always held a special place in my heart. For years, my family and I rented homes in the area to enjoy long ski weekends, lake time, and peaceful escapes in the woods. Eventually, we decided to create a place of our own—something that felt both true to the Maine camp experience and elevated with a touch of comfort and luxury. We’ve worked hard to make this cabin feel authentic and welcoming, with thoughtful design details and cozy touches that make it easy to settle in and relax. Whether you're here for the slopes, the trails, or simply some time to unplug in nature, we’re excited to share this special place with you.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this cabin the moment we discovered it. Tucked up in the woods near Flagstaff Lake and Sugarloaf, the area offers a rare blend of wilderness, recreation, and quiet beauty. It feels remote enough to truly unwind, yet you’re only a short drive from hiking trails, fishing spots, mountain biking, and world-class skiing. The community up here is close-knit and welcoming—whether it’s a neighbor waving hello or a local shopkeeper offering tips on the best nearby swimming hole. There’s just something about the stillness of the forest, the scent of pine, and the starlit skies that makes this place hard to leave.
What makes this property unique
Our cabin is a cozy yet elegant retreat tucked away on a quiet, wooded lot—off the beaten path, but close to everything the Western Mountains have to offer. What sets it apart is the balance we’ve struck between rustic charm and refined comfort. We’ve blended natural materials and warm textures with modern touches, creating a space that feels both timeless and thoughtfully updated. Guests often tell us how peaceful it feels here—the quiet of the forest, the clean mountain air, and the ability to truly unplug. Whether you’re sipping coffee on the porch, cooking a hearty meal in the well-equipped kitchen, or winding down after a day of skiing or hiking, this is the kind of place where you can breathe deeply and feel at home.
