The place was amazing. Actually better than described. So much room. And the river outback is very nice. The owners were very friendly and prompt with everything. would highly recommend. We ended up getting an extra day just to relax and so glad we did.

My husband and I live locally. We jokingly call ourselves "water people" because we feel at home on the water, we love to fish anywhere: offshore or inshore, in the bayou, in a lake, a river, or a pond. We love boating, especially sunset cruises at the end of a long day. And we enjoy just hanging out by the water, listening to some good music and watching the day pass. Life is better by the water!

Our family has enjoyed the bayou and this lifestyle for decades. We are happy to share our passion as we host other families and groups making happy memories together at The Bayou Shack.

What makes this property unique

Let the stress melt away as you watch the light reflect on the water. This house is located on the bayou such that you'll catch beautiful sunrises AND sunsets over the water.

There is something for everyone at this house. Some ideas: family reunions, boating/fishing activities with dock access for 3 boats, kayaking, lounging around on the many decks and outdoor spaces, plenty of room for indoor games, girl's weekends, etc.

The house is 6.5 miles from nearby wedding venues making it perfect for groups looking to make memories and spend time together while in town for a wedding.
