We really appreciated how cozy, convenient, and well cared for this home was. It’s clear that the owner put a lot of thought and attention to detail into customizing the space and making it feel warm and inviting. The air conditioning worked wonderfully, and the owner was attentive and responsive throughout our stay. There are just a couple of areas that kept this from being a five-star experience for us. Comfortable bedding is really important to us when traveling, and unfortunately, the mattresses and pillows could use some attention. The mattresses felt quite worn and hard, and the beds were very noisy whenever we moved, making it difficult for my husband and me to get a good night's sleep. The pillows also felt flat/hard and lacked the support and comfort we would have appreciated. Investing in some more comfortable pillows and refreshing the mattresses would make a very meaningful difference in the overall guest experience. We were only there two nights, but unfortunately, we would have had to move accomodations due to the mattress/pillow situation had our stay been longer. We appreciated the warm, soft lighting throughout most of the house, which ensured a cozy atmosphere. However, the screened-in porch has so much potential as a relaxing spot to enjoy a drink, and the cold/florescent bright lighting there takes away from that ambiance. A few other areas had similar lighting. The issue is the color temperature of the bulbs, not their brightness. Most of the house used lovely warm-white bulbs in the 2000K–3000K range, while the porch had much cooler 5000K bulbs that created an almost fluorescent, operating-room feel. Switching those bulbs to a warmer 2700K range would be a simple, inexpensive improvement that would make the space feel much more cozy and inviting.Overall, this is a charming home that has clearly been thoughtfully cared for, and we appreciated the owner's attention and the excellent air conditioning. With some improvements to the mattresses, pillows, and lighting in a few areas, we would consider staying here again. Thank you for the stay.
