We absolutely love this home! It’s beautifully decorated, clean and has the most incredible views! This was our second time staying here and we can’t wait to go back again!

We appreciate your return to Twin Chimneys, and so glad you enjoyed your stay!
Property was wonderful and just as advertised. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking at the wonderful view of the bay.
The town of Blue Hill is close and offers restaurants, shopping and grocery that are very good. When we had a problem with one of the TV's the property manager was easy to reach and took care of it promptly. Karen was easy to reach by email when we had questions and responded promptly. Twin Chimneys is a "home run" that I hope we can visit again.

Serene and picturesque location
The house is spacious, tidy and has lots of windows to take in the view. The kitchen is very well stocked with crockery/utensils. We had some issues with cooking on the stove as it doesn't have the best vent but it wasn't a major issue in the end as we used the outside grill which works just fine.We loved the deck with its view of the bay and the house's location was excellent with good local dining options, groceries, kayaking, and a picturesque swimming cove we learned about from friendly locals. Karen and the caretaker were very helpful and attentive to our needs. We would stay there again.

We're so glad you enjoyed your stay and found the house well-stocked. We would be glad to have you stay again!
Twin Chimneys is ideally located on a private road with a beautiful yard and slope to the sea/bay. Blue Hill is nearby for shopping with local trails and beaches just a short drive too. We found local strawberry picking and wild blueberries to pick as well. The house wanted for nothing as far as supplies. I really appreciated the garbage pick-up; an amenity many country homes do not offer. There were toys for the kids on the rainy day and 2 great outdoor decks. Karen was immediately accessible for my one question. Location and comfort make Twin Chimneys a wonderful place to stay!

Gorgeous Views, Gorgeous House
Our extended family traveled from Richmond, VA, Washington DC, and Atlanta, GA to visit Maine for the first time for all of us. We all agreed we couldn't have chosen a more perfect spot! The views were always beautiful and ever changing- the whites of the misty night, the pale blues of the early morning, the vibrant blues of the sunny daytime, and the pinks and grays of the gorgeous sunset. The house was sunny and spacious complete with a well-stocked kitchen, games galore, and a linen closet to die for. Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are less than an hour away to the north and the picturesque towns of Belfast and Castine are close to the south. Blue Hill is a quaint Maine town with a huge grocery store, gift shops, galleries and of course a lobster shack. If we go to Maine again, Twin Chimneys will be the place we'll stay!

We're so glad you enjoyed your first trip to Maine - and Twin Chimneys! We're glad we could share both with you.
Every review described our own experience! This is a wonderful house: views from the expansive windows; perfect space for a younger family with 3 children and their grandparents. It is private and quiet but accessible to hiking trails and a beach. Minutes from a supermarket .All made for a super Maine vacation.
Twin Chimneys was just as the pictures depict, maybe even better. We felt at home here and all of us said, if we were to have a home in Maine, this would be it! We could have enjoyed days just relaxing at the house, never leaving but this was our first time in the area and we were only staying 5 days so we had planned things to do each day. Next time, we hope to stay longer and have some days just at the house. Karen was responsive and helpful with all our needs. Only disappointment was not being able to make a fire due to flue issue. Highly recommend this home.
The house had a perfect location. The views were incredible and the sail boats from KYC going by daily just added to the view. The house had everything you might need and the grounds were very well kept. Looking toward to next year.

So glad you enjoyed your time here! Thanks for choosing Twin Chimneys.
This house is built for comfort and stocked with everything you need. Beautiful views. And plenty of places indoors and outdoors to read, nap, chat & gaze. Fantastic, detail-oriented owner. Thank you, thank you — we highly recommend.
Twin Chimney was amazing. It was just what we needed during this difficult time of Covid. The home exceeded our expectations. The location was remote quiet and private. We enjoyed watching the Eagles frolic over the bay and see the Lobster fisherman check there traps. We would love to return next year!
Exactly as described and pictured in the listing. Beautiful central room with a wonderful fireplace and beautiful views of the ocean. Close to the charming village of Blue Hill and Acadia just a short drive.
Wonderful house I’m Blue Hill with spectacular waterfront views. Meticulously cleaned and cared for with comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, and beautifully decorated....Everything you need for a relaxing stay! We will definitely be back.
Wonderful time in Blue Hill! Great views in a quiet and private family compound. . House was very comfortable and well equipped. Will definitely return!

WOW to Blue Hill, Maine!
Our stay at your beautiful seaside home was outstanding! The gravel drive to the home was like driving into a national park - with stately white pines, maples in color, and forest floor carpeted in green moss and strewn with agent boulders. The absolutely beautiful home was clean, welcoming, with huge seaside windows, and a well-equipped kitchen, and was a perfect lay-out for 3 couples. The grounds was clean and manicured and quiet - hardly a glimpse of neighboring properties. All 6 of us had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this VRBO home. We would love to visit again! Thank you for sharing the Maine experience with us Minnesotans!

Twin Chimneys provided the perfect home away from home for our trip this year in Blue Hill.
Twin Chimneys met all of our expectations and provided the perfect setting with its wooded location and beautiful shoreline at the foot of the lawn. The interior is very well maintained and perfect for entertaining our guests.

Two Chimneys Stay for Three Couples
Three couples shared the house for a week. We could not have chosen a more perfect house and location for our visit to Maine.
The house and setting were not only as described on the website but more beautiful in person. The house was very clean, large and comfortable for all of us. It was fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. The setting was beautiful. Close to the waterfront, wooded and secluded but still a close drive to town.
We found a variety of good restaurants in town and nearby. The location in Blue Hill allowed for day trips in every direction from Acadia and Bar Harbor to Stonington, Bucksport and beyond.
Our VRBO agent Karen was immediately available by phone and in person when we had a question. She provided information on restaurants and attractions in the area.
We all felt we picked the perfect place and would highly recommend Twin Chimneys.

Review of Twin Chimneys from Canada
This was the second time I've rented from VRBO. The first was a remodelled stone farmhouse called "La Jaubert" near Viens France. That made our vacation in Provence an experience that I still remember. We knew when we pulled into the circular drive at Twin Chimneys and entered the front door into the bright central room with cathedral ceiling and multiple windows looking out on a view of Blue Hill Bay framed by tall pines and a lawn reaching down to the bay that we had found a similar unique place. The house was obviously professionally decorated and had an aura of understated elegance.
It is obvious that the owners have taken steps to ensure that all necessities of housekeeping were provided. There was a fully stocked linen closet, a china and glassware closet, and a laundry room with all manner of cleaning agents. We found it easy to prepare dinners for our group of eight in the modern kitchen with adjoining barbecue deck on several days, and otherwise made a day trip to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbour.
Management is in nearby Blue Hill, which makes it convenient to deal with any problems, but we did not have any.
The grand kids were occupied on the one rainy day with the stock of children's games provided in the common room. They no time at all to discover a “Narnia-like” secret passage to a small room full of children-sized furniture at the back of what was my bedroom closet, much to my chagrin. This must be a holdover from former owners of the house
In total, we had a wonderful time and would recommend Twin Chimneys to anyone.
