We are pleased to offer 'Harbor House', an exquisite, high-end historic Blue Hill Village, waterfront home built in 1824 by Jeremiah Faulkner.
Harbor House has been meticulously renovated using the finest craftsmanship and has kept the distinctive 19th C. look and feel of an earlier time yet offers modern, high-end finishes and amenities. Discerning guests will truly enjoy this special property with unparalleled beauty both inside and out.
This upscale period home offers 5 beautiful bedrooms, each with a private en suite bathroom.
(One bedroom/bath on first floor and 4 bedrooms on second level)
Once you step through the charming wooded garden gate, you will be welcomed by colorful, meandering mature gardens, curving period rock walls, and a stone patio overlooking the water.
Enjoy the outdoor living space with hand cut stone steps which lead you to the shore of Blue Hill Bay.
Swim or kayak right from the water's edge at high tide and beach-comb at low tide!
Rent kayaks (Delivered to the property from The Activity Shop) where you can easily launch them from the property and explore the calm waters of Blue Hill Bay.
Sun filled rooms are beautifully decorated with tasteful, comfortable furnishings. There is a formal living and dining room and a more casual family and dining room too. Beautiful water views from most every window.
A spacious gourmet chef's kitchen will please the most discerning of chefs with dual Viking wall convection ovens and a 5 burner cooktop and 2 dishwashers. Granite counters along with many fine details will make your cooking and baking a joy.

Day and evening talks and programs are offered all season long by many prominent authors and musicians at the Blue Hill library as well as other near-by venues like Kneisel Hall and the Surry Barn.
Hike Blue Hill Mountain where the breathtaking views stretch from the hills of Camden to Acadia National Park.
Enjoy Blue Hill's Kneisel Hall (Founded by violinist Franz Kneisel in 1902) known as "the cradle of Chamber music in America". It has provided musicians the opportunity to immerse themselves in the chamber repertoire. Weekly Chamber Music concerts are offered by world-renowned faculty and guest artists.
Acadia National Park is our crown jewel and not to be missed. Enjoy magnificent 45 miles of Carriage Road Trails and 150 miles of trails at the Bar Harbor 'and' Schoodic Peninsula locations.
Be mesmerized by the breathtaking views atop the summit of not only Cadillac Mountain (The highest peak on the Eastern seaboard) but other mountain summits which have 360 degree views. Cadillac Mountain is where the sun first rises in the Continental U.S.
Mount Desert Island is where the main part of Acadia National Park is located. (Hulls Cove/Bar Harbor entrance) The Schoodic Peninsula is a not to miss part of Acadia in nearby Winter Harbor.
There are trails and mountain hikes for every age and ability. After a stroll or invigorating hike, enjoy a meal in Bar Harbor or in one of the neighboring charming villages that dot the Island. Enjoy the freshest lobster and fish in most every village and town.
Try Whale watching or enjoy a boat ride; which include Lighthouses, Nature cruises, lobster boat cruises, sailboats.

We offer a 4 PM self-check in for your convenience.

You are welcome to book 7 or 14 nights.
Check-in is at 4 PM and check-out by 10 AM.
**Due to family visiting, we are offering a '5 night' booking September 7 - 12, 2026. Should you like to visit, a per diem rate will be based on 5 nights **
Harbor House has a sloping grassy area to the water, surrounded by terraced stone walls. The setting showcases lovely gardens where flowers are in bloom all season long.
As much as we love pets, we do not permit them at Harbor House.
Once you have reserved your week(s), we will be contacting you 'directly' as VRBO will release your personal email address to us.
We require a signed rental agreement.
Please note, our weeks run Saturday - Saturday but prior and after our "peak" season, we may have flexibility on arrival and departure days, however there is a 7 night minimum booking.
We are offering Harbor House mid April through December so you can enjoy Downeast Maine almost all year long!
