Host was very responsive and made sure there was some nice little touches to make our stay enjoyable (for example, leaving a s’mores kit for us to use). Stayed for a long weekend which was ample time to enjoy the serene surroundings.

Beautiful area and very peaceful! Fishing off the dock was great...caught small mouth bass on my 1st cast! Host was great and super helpful! Cottage was exactly as described and hist left some very nice welcome treats for us! We had all that we needed and more! We'll definitely be back
This property is something very special and we had an amazing time. Kayaking on the endless slow moving river was so incredible. Provided the workout we needed each day to not have the guilts about relaxing so much. Main bedroom mattress is super comfortable. Kitchen has everything you’ll need. But. Maybe get a pair of scissors for the kitchen. BBQ is big and works great. Hosts are fantastic and I couldn’t ask for better service. But we didn’t need them for anything since everything was perfect and exactly as described on this site. And a huge ferry actually went down the river while we were kayaking !! Amazing !!Thank you S and J !!! If we are able to get back to this area, we will be booking with you without hesitation!! Stuart & Jhing
This lakeside retreat is an absolute gem. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of tiny items you don’t normally see. The cottage is super clean and very charming. There are two kayaks and a paddle boat. There is tons of natural light and a big picture window in living room so even if a rainy day you can still have a good view. All the grounds are very well kept. Even the dock area where there is a great swimming area which is cleaned daily. You can swim on one side and fish off the other side or out off the dock. Every detail is thought of as far as things you could need for your visit. The water is so close and there is a strong and sturdy dock. A lovely pergola and trees that give a good combination of shade and sun. Nice sunset views. Also a relaxing hammock ! Quiet area and there are boats passing by to keep it interesting but it is not crowded or noisy. Plenty of wildlife around. We even saw an otter swimming past the dock. There are plenty of places nearby for coffee, ice cream and full meals. You are less than 10 minutes away from Havelock or Cambellford. Super easy to find. We had a hurricane come through on our first night and the owners went above and beyond making sure we were okay and had what we needed. We are already looking forward to returning next year. Very nice hosts that just want to make your experience a positive one. Love it !!
