Beautiful house and location!

We loved this house for our group - college friends and our kids! Plenty of space to hang out all together in the open first floor, basement and outside. Between the pool, proximity to beach, basketball court and games/puzzles there was plenty to do in any weather! The bedroom/bathroom set up worked well for friends or extended family group with multiple adults and kids. We loved our stay and hope to make it a yearly tradition!

Great house

Perfect house for 8 adults on a golf weekend trip. Plenty of room for everyone. House was in excellent condition and pictures in the listing accurately reflected the property. Conveniently located to great restaurants, bars, golf courses, etc. Will definitely look to rent this property again next Spring.

We had a fabulous time. The kids loved it. Pool, Fire pit, basketball, corn hole, pool table. Near the beach, mini golf, ice cream . Fully equipped home. All needs provided.

Wonderful stay in the Cape

Had a great time in Cape Cod, house was big and beautiful. There were 12 of us staying for the week. My 4 grandchildren loved the pool and basketball court. Plenty of places in the house to go for some alone time. Close to town and grocery store.. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Would definitely rent again if we come to the Cape again

We had a very nice stay. The house was great! The layout of the bedrooms was not ideal because you had to walk through a bathroom and bedroom to get to the hallway. Also, the house could use new fry pans.

Absolutely Amazing!!

The house was perfect for our family vacation. Eight adults and seven kids each had a bed. We spent most days enjoying the pool, back yard and basketball court. And, of course, smores in the evening around a campfire. The home was clean and the kitchen well equipped. Ryan, the owner, was easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions we had. Thank you for sharing this beautiful property with us.

Large property in quiet location.

We were very pleased to stay at this large home located in a very quiet section of Barnstable. We were 8 adults and 3 young children and everyone had their own place to sleep. The living areas were spacious and there was plenty of seating for everyone. The kitchen is much larger than it appears in the picture in the listing and everyone was able to prepare food with ease. We all brought our bikes and enjoyed the 8 minute bike ride to the beach which was mostly on quiet streets or bike paths. Also a very nice bike ride to Hyannis Port which was quiet and beautiful. The pool was mostly a very comfortable 82 degrees and adults and children also enjoyed plenty of time swimming and playing. We also found plenty of uses for the basketball court, including the young children riding their bikes on it. The fire pit was great and we enjoyed a couple of evening fires. As stated in previous reviews the upstairs layout is a bit funky. You either have to go through another bedroom to bathroom to closet to have access to it or go from kitchen to garage to back stairway to the 2 rooms above the garage. But we managed! Overall for our needs this was a great vacation spot.

VRBO process

First, I have already written and sent a review using this webpage. I didn't find it posted so I wonder if it was received by VRBO. This has been typical of VRBO. More about that below. My review again, our family had a great time, the house was very nice and despite a few maintenance issues with the house, they didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves. My impression of the process was that the VRBO website was helpful in finding and deciding on the property we would rent. One of the reasons we went with the house was because VRBO lends a certain amount credibility to the owner and offers some protection like late cancellation and damage protection. VRBO & the owner could make some improvement in the process that begins a year in advance with a significant down payment. We made 2 rent payments and both times we received notice from VRBO that payment was late when in fact we were early in making payment. I can only attribute this to less then timely action & communication between the owner and VRBO. Remember, there is significant money involved, the renter is hundreds of miles away and there was one very negative review answered by the owner. After final payment, security access to the property should be made clear to the renter. Security Codes sent the day of travel to the property seems a bit late. Maybe using text that day or email the day before would be an improvement. I called the Mr Hunt directly to clarify conditions of the property & was assured, regarding the negative comments, that they were overblown. I have an understanding of rental properties & renters having had rental properties of my own and I know a fair number landlords. I have to say I was a little disappointed, that a couple of nuisance conditions (slow drains and two bedroom TVs not working) were still there after being reassured they were not. With a little planning these were two fairly simple things to correct but were not. Again they didn't stop us because I didn't expect perfection and I was able to restore power to the bathroom GFCI receptacles... once Mr Hunt directed me to the hidden elec panel. I did communicate to Mr Hunt a list of maintenance items, since during the rental season it is awkward, but not impossible, to fix things while being occupied. I would recommend this property to others but I would admonish them to get a credible understanding of conditions before making first payment and again with the final payment.

Great house and location

This was a great house for our family vacation. A good location to visit the other areas of the Cape. The house is well equipped for visitors- plenty of dishes and cookware in the kitchen and all kinds of things for the beach in the garage - chairs, coolers and wagons. The pool was a godsend for us since the kids ran there as soon as we got in the door (every day). I would definitely recommend this house for a large group gathering.

First Family Vacation with baby!

We had the most amazing time! The house is beautiful, big and has so much entertainment. It was our first vacation with our one year old and we were a bit nervous. The house had a baby room with black out curtains and even a crib! It was perfect to set her up and she slept perfectly immediately there. The pool was heated and we spent tons of time there with our whole Family. The basement has a a pool table and bar! After baby went to bed we all spent the evening there and played games and made drinks, the best time! The house is super close to Hyannis and the ferry to Nantucket and vineyard. Overall it was a great time and we are looking to boom again for next summer!

We stayed two nights at the property while we were on the cape for a wedding. We wished we had more time to enjoy the home, pool and sports court! The house was very clean and great for multiple families. We are hoping to return!!

Excellent Stay

We had a great family vacation here. We've been to the cape many times and usually stay in Eastham but decided try this end of the cape. Lots to do. Grocery store nearby which was helpful. Included in our stay was a pass for all Barnstable beaches....note that this pass doesn't work at all County Beaches...just those within the town of Barnstable. We chose Craigville Beach the first day and it was disappointing...water clarity on other parts of the cape is much better. Not much Cape Cod ambiance at least in my opinion. We chose Mayflower Beach in Dennis and LOVED it...beautiful with the tide out or in and great for young children..,...but arrive before 9 as the parking is a challenge. The pool at this house was great. Kitchen had everything we needed. Back porch was wonderful. We would stay here again and again.
