Beautiful place with a great view of the lake! It’s a great location on the lake as well. Clean property with a great deck. The walk to and from the dock wasn’t terrible either which is also a plus.

We had no heat. The house is disorganized and better supplies for cleaning etc would have been nice. Otherwise beautiful house nice area. Quiet and the host was responsive.

The lake and surrounding area are beautiful. House was very clean and well stocked with essentials. The walk to the dock was not far from the house and has a good sidewalk. However, it is very steep in one area, so somewhat a bit difficult for elderly guests. Our only issue is we did not receive any washcloths for our visit, may have been an oversight.

The house was fantastic and exactly what was expected from the pictures! The views of the lake from the deck are incredible!The dock is where ALL of the problems are. I messaged the host months before booking asking if there was power at the dock. Was assured there was but there most definitely was not. No working outlets or lights on the dock! To make things worse, no one has adjusted the dock with the fluctuating water levels. So the dock walkway was a solid 10-15 to the right of the concrete steps walking down. Meaning you had to step off the concrete steps, through the large loose gravel/rocks on the bank to get onto the dock walkway! Not very safe in the slightest, especially with younger kids or older adults and definitively not what was expected prior to arrival! Injuries are waiting to happen if owners continue to rent this property with the dock in the condition it’s in!

The house was beautiful and mostly had everything we needed. Overall the home was pretty clean. Just a few opportunities but nothing major. It is pet friendly which we appreciated. The dock was very nice. Host was very kind. There was a hot tub outside but there was no mention of it and it was covered so we assumed it wasnt to be used. We would definitely use this home again, but would not take our boat. That was our only issue. Our boat was damaged at the dock. We would have been better off to leave it at a local Marina.

This was our first trip to Norris Lake, so we weren't sure what to expect or where to stay. Overall, we had a great time. One thing that was different for us was that payment was handled outside of VRBO, which made us a little nervous at first since we weren't used to that, but everything worked out fine.The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with games, and everything worked as expected. We especially enjoyed the water mat, the fire pit, and watching the fireworks from the property. Checkout was also one of the easiest we've experienced at a vacation rental.We did have an issue with ants throughout our stay, so we had to keep food put away at all times. It's a lake house, so some bugs are understandable, but adding a few ant bait stations would likely make a big difference for future guests.We rented a pontoon and spent most of our vacation on the lake. There isn't a lot to do in the immediate area besides enjoying the water, and the nearest Walmart is about a 20-minute drive, so plan ahead. We also found the grill's propane tank empty when we went to use it. Having a backup tank would have been helpful, especially since it's a bit of a drive to the store. Many rentals keep a spare and ask guests to refill the empty one.The only other thing that would have made our stay even better would have been having a kayak or paddleboard available. Overall, we really enjoy our stay and would consider staying again!
