We had a wonderful time the house is beautiful and well equipped, The location is perfect so peaceful out fishing during the day and dinner at one of the local restaurants in the evening. Although it was only my husband and I, we would love to return sometime with our family.

We really enjoyed our time here in yankeetown. We fished off the dock all week and we also enjoyed the Black Tavern Restaurant right in the neighborhood. This is a great place to stay!

Second time spending at this beautiful and relaxing b&b. I really appreciated the hostess reaching about and keeping us updated about the storm and checking in. Was night calm relaxing escape from adulting for few day and just enjoys mother nature and good laughs

Journey was an excellent host and her property on the river was beutiful and very clean upon arrival. She was also very responsive whenever we had questions about the local area. I needed information on a great spot for a sunset for proposing to my girlfriend (I didn't mention the proposal, lol!) and Journey was able to point me to the perfect location. Would recommend this property and host and will likely be back.

This is the perfect getaway for a relaxing vacation! A beautiful spot on the river with convenient dock and boat ramp access. The host is so accommodating and quick to respond. The house had everything we need and more. I highly recommend for boaters looking for a quiet escape.

We wanted a relaxing adult get away from the every day living for a weekend and that's what this place was. It felt like we stepped back in time to a life that was simple. Just fishing, relaxing, cooking good food, and hanging out. We caught shark and few different kinds of fish. We even got to see dolphins swimming. We are for sure planning another trip in the fall to come back.

This house was perfect for us to have a nice quiet getaway in a really cool / relaxed riverfront community. Very pretty backdrop. Property was very nice, clean, well-stocked, and in good condition. Beds are comfortable & furniture / decor was nice. The lower level breezeway with a hammock, ping pong table, & bar was great for hanging out. Fishing was good off the dock; we caught a 20 pound channel catfish & several 2-3 pound saltwater cats; saw a 30-40 pound alligator gar and a large snook. There’s a 100yd walk to a great restaurant & bar w/ live music. Yankeetown is a neat area and is fairly close to multiple different points of interest. I’d definitely stay here again as I thought it was an excellent value.

We had an awesome time. We brought our boat so being right on the water was very convenient. There’s a marina with a boat launch two doors down which was also very convenient. We caught some nice fish and scallops. It’s very quiet and laid back. We loved it. We are looking forward to staying there again.

The property was as listed, clean and pleasant. The boat dock is easy to get your boat to even at low tides as the river is deep and easy to navigate from the bay.

Place was wonderful. Fully stocked and had everything we needed. Although the dock has a damaged side, it is fully useable and was nice to have the boat in the water behind the house. We loved the place and have already booked for July of next year! Cheers!

Imagine a 4 day weekend of scalloping & fishing without waiting in a single boat launch line! Just got back from a long weekend over 4th of July! Walking distance from Yankeetown Marina (also great people), and a 30 minute boat cruise to see amazing sunsets at Bird Creek point!We had 9 adults, 1 baby and 3 boats. It is even better than the pictures! Every decor piece in this house is carefully curated from the scuba helmet ice bucket at the downstairs bar to the manatee pulls in the upstairs bathroom! Someone has taken thoughtful care to every detail! The AC works amazing! The full size mattress double bunkbed is rock solid- our 2 adult sons shared the top bunk and my husband and I shared the bottom. Not a squeak or bounce!We are excited to see the new dock when it is finished, but the damage from previous hurricanes did not affect our trip at all. The new grill worked great!We highly recommend boating or walking to Blackwater Restaurant. Brooks Dockside (we sadly missed the food truck) has amazing smoked mullet and fish dip!

Our family had a great time and really enjoyed the fishing and wildlife. We caught a small shark, a long nose gar pike ( we think), a red fish and even a crab! There is a little bar and food truck at the marina just a short walk away with live music. We had plenty of room and everything was clean. The ping pong table was a big hit with my grandson. Journey was a great host and was very quick to respond to my texts. I don’t fish, so my favorite thing to do was drink my coffee on the dock and watch the sun come up and the boats go by. Sunsets were great too. It was nice to sit on the dock and listen to the music from the bar. It wasn’t too loud, but you could hear it and I never heard it from the house. I think it stopped pretty early. It never bothered our sleep. If you like to relax by the river and fish you’ll love this place!
