About this property
Cozy Private Suite in a Country Home near New Paltz
A quiet and serene country home full of flowers, light and charm year round. Our home sits on two acres overlooking a wildflower field and a working hay farm.
We converted the basement into a private 650 square foot guest suite that is accessed through the garage. The room is on the ground level and inside a window overlooks the backyard garden. There is outdoor parking for guest vehicles.
The space is perfect for two people. We extend the offer to families with small children and we can provide a full-size air mattress.
Pets must be friendly, quiet, well-behaved and get along well with people and other dogs and cats.
We have a large in-ground pool, several gardens, a trampoline, a basketball hoop, a tree swing and an abundance of wildlife that also call this place home.
Guests have access to the pool and garden areas.
Inside the guest suite there is a full bathroom, full-size bed, dresser, closet, cozy chairs and a desk & chair for office use. Access to laundry and a full-size air mattress is available upon request.
The room also has hot water, wifi and cable TV There is no A/C but the it stays cool in the summer, especially with the fan and humidifier provided.
We supply bath and pool towels, blankets, extra pillows and bathroom essentials.
The pool is open from early July to early October and guests are welcome to swim and enjoy the patio dining table, umbrella and lounge chairs.
There is an option to rent the outdoor grill and two bikes for $25 each per day.
We live upstairs with 2 cats and a dog. Access to the kitchen is not an option but the suite has a fridge, microwave, coffee machine and foldable tables.
If you need something specific or left something at home, don't hesitate to ask and we will accommodate, if possible.

We moved to the New Paltz area from NYC in 2017 for fresh air, hiking and rock climbing. My husband is a mailman in New Paltz and I'm studying Geology at SUNY New Paltz. We have a 16 year old son here at home and our older son just started college in Utah.
Why they chose this property
We love the proximity to NYC and local ski resorts like Hunter and Belleayre. It's a great area for hiking, biking, sky diving and most of all rock climbing.
What makes this property unique
The house is nestled on a small hill and the backyard overlooks a lovely working farm. It is also situated one mile from the rail trail.
