Great cabin with plenty of room for a whole group. Close to fishing the Kenai and Kasilof. I really appreciated the full laundry set up and chest freezer. The WiFi worked great. Amazing views of the Cook Inlet. The bbq set up works perfect for cooking salmon after a day of fishing.

The cabin was poorly cleaned when we arrived. Most of the dirty bedding and lint rolls were still in the laundry area from the previous guest. The coffee pot was not clean and dirty dishes in the dish washer. The refrigerator was also dirty. The yard had knee high grass/weeds. We requested to have it mowed so we could enjoy a fire. The only firewood available was large logs that were not chopped so were unable to have a fire. We tried to use the oven but it was so dirty that it smoked out the house and smelled awful. The furniture was worn and dirty. Very few amenities in the home. The body wash and shampoo were travel sizes that were nearly empty on arrival. We saved all year for a dream vacation to Alaska and we very disappointed in the cabin.

There was mold in the bottom of the garbage can in the kitchen that stunk so bad we had to keep it on the deck.Both crock pots were dirty on the outside.The toaster didn't work unless you held the handle down.This is Alaska in the summer. There were no curtains on the bedroom window.The hardwood floors were beautiful but filthy. The bottoms of our white socks are black.The description of the property said towels were provided. There were only 4 bath towels and no hand towels or washcloths. One towel in the kitchen and it was soaking wet.When we arrived, there was a heaping pile of dirty linens and towels in the laundry room visible from the kitchen as there was no door to the laundry room.There was a working dishwasher, but they only provided one dishwasher tab for a 5 day stay. When I told the owner about the dirty linen and lack of hand towels and wash clothes he pushed back. I didn't even mention the other issues. He told me that it didn't seem like I was happy with the property and suggested we find another place to stay!! All I was asking for was hand towels and washcloths and to not have to live looking at other peoples dirty linen outside the kitchen. We ended up staying as where else could we have gone? I booked this in December as I know how popular the Kenai Peninsula is. We won't ever stay at one of his properties again.

We couldn’t locate the property at first because there was no address on it and the host had deleted it from VRBO so I wasn’t able see what it looked like. Once I was able to text with the host, we found the property. But, then we had no lighter to start the gas heater with and it was rainy and 40 degrees out. Also, half a roll of toilet paper was all that was provided for 4 people. The beds were not big enough for two adult people. Also, none of us felt comfortable showering in that shower. The host was reasonably fast in replies to my questions via text, but we searched everywhere for supplies to no avail. We slept in our clothes without heat. He said his cleaner told him there were lighters and tp in the storage area, but they were not and I didn’t get that answer till we left. I think this property needs a lot of work, both with physical upkeep, and with the host’s detailed instructions. It only had two reviews, so they were probably new to vrbo. This property seems to be up for sale now. I doubt it will be available for rental anyway. If the weather had been nice at all, we probably could’ve enjoyed the deck and the view of the ocean. The view was nice, however they are building a house right in front of it.
