Looking for the perfect family getaway? This charming lake house near Schroon Lake offers everything you need for a fun, relaxing, and stress-free vacation with the whole crew. With comfortable one-level living and a fully fenced backyard, it’s ideal for families with children of all ages and fur babies as well!

About the house:
Let this 3-bedroom, 2-bath abode be your home-away-from-home in the heart of the Adirondacks. Start your morning with a cup of coffee on the screened in front porch. Then unwind from a day at the beach or the mountains with a home cooked meal made in the fully equipped kitchen enjoyed around the custom wood table with seating for 10. Or fire up the grill and take your meal out on the deck. End your evenings with s’mores around the firepit, enjoyed in the privacy of a fully fenced in yard. The house can comfortably sleep 7 people: the master bedroom and guest room each have a queen bed, while the bunk room includes a twin bunk bed, as well as an additional twin bed. There is also a portable crib, pack’n’play and high chair available for those travelling with smaller kiddos!


About the area:
Just a 15 minute walk away, enjoy all Schroon has to offer with restaurants and shops in the town center. Should your adventures take you outside of Schroon, this central location is ideal for day trips to places such as Lake George (30 minutes), Bolton Landing (30 minutes), Ticonderoga (30 minutes), Saratoga Springs (1 hour), Lake Placid (1 hour), and more! A full list of recommendations for things to do in the area will be provided upon your stay.

Whether it’s sun or snow you’re looking for, the Adirondacks offer it all. In the summer, soak up the sun from the town’s public beach, located less than 1 mile away. Want to get out on the lake? The Schroon Lake Marina is conveniently located right across the street and offers a variety of kayak, paddleboard and boat rentals. In the winter, hit the slopes with Gore Mountain just a 30 minute drive away or enjoy the various local snowmobile trails, the closest of which is located at the end of our street. Spring and fall have a ton to offer as well with beautiful views, hiking trails, and a local golf course.

Whether it’s your first visit or a return trip to the area, this lake house is designed to help families relax, explore, and make lasting memories together.

Beautiful home! Great layout of space with a gorgeous view of mountains and the lake. Host provides everything you could need that you might have forgotten or didn't have room to pack. Perfectly located close to amenities like restaurants and grocery stores but also close to snowmobile trails, hiking trails, and Schroon Lake. The perfect long weekend getaway.

This house was very clean and decorated very well. There were no issues at all. Owners answered every question I had in a timely manner throughout the entire process and were very professional. The location was awesome too- Right across from the marina. We were all very happy with this house.

Had a great stay. Everything was a presented. Hosts were responsive, and the house was very clean and well equipped. We enjoyed the location as it was convenient to town. Would recommend The Brown Swan for dinner and 8 Mile for coffee and breakfast. We stayed in winter as a base for skiing at Gore, which was a 40 minute drive.

Lily Pad was a perfect winter break home for our family of 5!! Schroon Lake town is adorable. And it’s perfectly located - we did a day trip to Lake Placid (1 hr away) and Montreal (2 hrs away). The house is beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. No small details were left out- labels on the light switches were something I never would have thought of but were so helpful! We ate several meals at the house and only needed 1 trip to the grocery store because the kitchen was well-stocked with necessities. The beds were comfortable. Our teens said they had dreams, which rarely happen. lol! The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. We would love to stay again and explore the area in the summer

We stayed at the house for 7 nights at the end of November. The kitchen had a nice spacious island which made preparing food so easy. There was enough space at the dining table to sit 8 people in addition to 2 seats at the island. There were enough dishes, mugs, glasses and the house even had sippy cups, child sized cutlery for families with young children. The owners thought of everything, including a drawer with some basic spices in case you wanted to cook. The living room had a large tv, a comfortable couch and 2 recliners. The hallway bathroom was very large and contained a full sized washer and dryer! We found the pillows and mattress to be very comfortable and we had a great night's sleep each night! We travelled with our dog and we were extremely happy that the spacious backyard was fenced and we did not have to walk him on Rte 9. I would recommend this house all year round and the nearby town was adorable to visit!
