The Chico Treehouse was the perfect place for some of my family to stay during the holidays. Great location, good parking, all of the amenities one needs, very clean and well maintained. The host was very welcoming and answered my questions immediately.

I am an artist who grew up in Chico, taught art for 12 years, and now enjoy hosting painting parties and setting up homes to be lovely for guests like you! I've made most of the art you see throughout our VRBO properties and I sometimes even get to lead a paint and sip session for guests who want to add that on to their experience in Chico.

I also love to travel with my husband Daniel and our son. We have stayed in so many wonderful homes over the years and the energy and details included by different hosts is always such an inspiration! It's fun that no matter where we go, I always come back with fresh ideas to keep improving this space for our future guests.

Why they chose this property

Chicoans affectionately call this neighborhood "The Avenues". This home is super close to the Esplanade, a tree lined street that runs through the middle of Chico before spilling into our Downtown. When we lived in this home for a year, we loved to bike or walk to the downtown farmers market (Saturday mornings year round and Thursday evenings, spring to fall) walk around the streets with many sweet craftsman style homes, or walk to the Chico State Campus, less than a mile away.

What makes this property unique

It's so enjoyable to be in a sunlit space where your life happens upstairs! This home is off of an alley, with trees growing all around, creating a feeling of being in a grown up treehouse, complete with a balcony! While living here, we updated and renovated to make everything feel fresh with new floors, paint, appliances, stair rail, bathroom vanities etc. You'll love the modern style and tree theme throughout!
