About this property
Quiet Family-Friendly Home with a View near Hiking Trails in Idyllwild-Pine Cove
Nestled on a quiet, wooded, corner lot, this clean and cozy private home is just 4 miles north of downtown Idyllwild. It sits on a county-maintained road, with a paved driveway, and is accessible year round.
This spacious 2 bed/2 bath, single-story home is fully furnished for your comfort and convenience. Each room is equipped with adjustable electric wall heaters and fans for your further comfort. Cozy up in front of the brick fireplace or enjoy the evening sunset off the back deck. Across the street is a private neighborhood entrance to the national forest which leads to 50 miles of hiking trails to explore and gorgeous aerial views.
The large master bedroom has a queen-size bed and private full bathroom. Towels , shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a blow dryer are all provided for your use, so no need to bring them with you. Use the large closet to hang clothing if desired. A crib mattress is available in the master bedroom closet for toddlers if needed.
The second bedroom has 2 twin-size beds, an additional twin-size trundle bed, a large closet, doll house, small 4-in-1 game table, and a few toys for the young or young-at-heart.
In the hall there is another full bathroom and a laundry room closet with a new full-size washer and dryer, but don't worry, we will wash all used towels and linens for you at the end of your stay. An iron and ironing board are provided as well.
The living room futon converts to a full-size bed for an additional sleeping area. There is seating for 5 comfortably in the living area. A fire-starter log is provided for each night of your stay and there is firewood provided just outside the front door.
For your indoor entertainment, there is WiFi, a smart TV, DVD player & DVDs, Amazon Echo Dot, Bluetooth speaker and radio, books, board games, puzzles, a dartboard, and plenty of other activities to keep kids entertained. For outdoor fun, there is a slide in the backyard, a hillside for sledding during the winter months, (horseshoe pit coming soon), and plenty of wooded space in the yard to explore.
For indoor dining, there is seating for 4 at the dining table and countertop seating for 2 more at the kitchen island, along with a bar area for 2 beside the dining room. There is seating for 6 on the back deck just off the spacious, fully-stocked kitchen.
The kitchen has all new appliances, including a full-size fridge and freezer, microwave, stove, oven, Keurig coffee-maker, toaster, air-fryer, bread machine, blender, and all kitchenware and cooking supplies you need to make meals from your home away from home. If you would prefer to dine out, we are only 4-miles from town with access to dozens of shops and restaurants and a grocery store. For your convenience, Pine Cove mini-market and gas station is only about a mile away.
Guests are welcome to use the entire home, yard, and driveway during their stay. The driveway can accommodate parking for up to two vehicles. If needed, snow shovels and snow scrapers are available at the house during the winter months and the roads are plowed regularly. We are in a quiet, family neighborhood, so we just ask that you be respectful of the neighbors at all times.
Well-behaved, house-trained dogs are welcome (3 max) but please do not allow pets on the furniture; dog beds are provided for your pets’ comfort. Please keep your pets with you at all times and be sure to clean up after them. Cleaning supplies, waste bags, dog bowls, and dog toys are all provided for your convenience. Please keep your pets leashed at all times when outdoors as the property is not fenced, and never leave pets unattended inside or outside the home. We are unable to accommodate cats due to the home owner’s allergies.
