Escape and Heal your body and soul

This Cabin is one of a kind riverfront getaway. Relax on the Large comfortable porch, overlooking a broad mountain river. It sleeps 2. 4 upon request Unfortunately we no longer allow any dogs.
Let the sounds of nature soothe away your stress. This experience you will never forget, allow the slow paste of a small town to take you back in time. Enjoy great food at the local restaurants, listen to bluegrass at the local dance hall, and dance the night away with friendly folks. This cabin has all the comforts of home. The bedroom is large with a clean, comfortable queen size bed. It has central heat & air and a gas fireplace. Granite tops and stainless steel appliances. There is a small outdoor barbecue, a rock fire pit next to the river, and firewood. There are lounge chairs in the outdoor storage to enjoy sitting by the river. You can also fish off the riverfront deck. We have a large flat-screen TV with over 150 movies to watch. The bathroom is spacious with a large stackable washer and dryer and a walk-in shower. We have clean towels and sheets or you can bring your own. The Kitchen has all the dining wear you will need and a dishwasher. Just bring yourself and enjoy. There are many books though out and games in the closet. Enjoy a long hike or take a day trip to Stone Mountain Park, only 20 minutes away. There are 2 grocery stores in town and several quaint coffee shops. This retreat is very private, yet only 5 minutes from town. There is also a hospital close by. Don't delay, book your getaway in the Blueridge mountains today.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please leave the original key used to enter back under the black cast iron tea pot.
Please place the trash outside in the large container located by the shed
Use the gate opener which is located inside the birdhouse to the left of the first cabin when you entered. Please use that to open the gate on your final exit from the property.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
No loud parties. No jumping on the bed. No eating in the bedroom. No smoking inside cabin No excess toilet paper in toilet Just common sense stuff!
No parties, no loud noise, no jumping on bed. NO SMOKING inside cabin or throwing buds on property.
Bottome line is...... leave places, people and living things, better than how you found them.....

Absolutely beautiful getaway! Stream/river in front so hearing the water is so relaxing. You’re hidden but can get to everything you might need or interested in seeing in no time. Mixup in communication: owner sends you an email the DAY you are arriving which I never saw. Entry instructions were in the email. VERY tight on the road which we navigated in the pitch dark due to an accident that held us up. Cabin is extremely comfortable and well stocked!!! There’s a Kuriq but bring the cups. I’d book again!

Very relaxing and nice quiet stay. We had a great getaway. It snowed one day and was 60 degrees the next so we had all the NC weather had to offer. Can't wait to come back in the summer!

We were both born in Cuba. Came to the US at a young age. Both grew up in Miami and met here in beautiful NC.
We live in the small bedroom community of Kernersville NC.

Why they chose this property

Since I can remember, I have longed to be by a river. I know that when I am near the feel and sound of a river, there is something so healing and calming that words cannot describe. So when the opportunity presented itself, we felt like this place was a God send. We cherish every moment we spend at the cabin and would one day retire here. This is truly a little piece of Heaven.

What makes this property unique

I love the front porch swing, and how it feels to just sit there. Every season bring with it a different feel. The river is spectacular with its ever changing flow. There are large mature trees overlooking the river on the mountain side. Sometimes the wind flows in such a way that you can hear nature talking to you. Wildlife is abundant. I love the decorations on the front porch.
