The Burnham Beach Cottage was built at the turn of the century originally as B&B's. We are a unique property so please feel free to email us with any questions or requests.

Simply put……a B&B experience with the privacy & independence of a vacation rental…...
This 2 bedroom cottage comprises of a queen-size bed, 1 twin bed , living room with queen-size sofa/futon bed, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, bathroom with clawfoot tub with shower~ Ideal for 2-3 persons. Take in the evening sunsets on your front porch. You will be provided with ironed bed linens, bath & beach towels, bath salts, cable TV, WiFi, iron & ironing-board.
Enjoy the ocean & views within minutes from the cottage. Walk, stroll, jog or ride the coastline path that starts here in Redondo and goes all the way to Malibu; ...easily engage in surfing, swimming, volleyball, walking, running, skating, biking, hiking....there's heaps to do in these beach cities & the list continues....art/food/music festivals, outdoor movies in the parks/on the beach, international volleyball tournaments to watch, or if you would rather just relax in our gardens or on the beach and do nothing... you can do that too...
A varied selection of restaurants/cafes are on hand.
We are a quintessential SoCal beach town,close to LA without being in the hectic rush of LA. All is easily accessible by freeways, public transportation, sightseeing tours pick-up at local hotel.
Enjoy LA in a beach oasis- it makes coming to LA quite a different experience...

The cottage is small but perfectly formed -- and what a great location! If you like to explore neighborhoods on foot (as I do) there can't be a better location in Redondo beach. Host is delightful! So much to see and do!

Perfect Beach Cottage

This house is a perfect place to stay in Redondo. It's located near so many things to do and places to eat that you can't go wrong. The cottage was cute, clean and the host makes check in and check out very easy. Definitely recommend for anyone coming to the area.

Perfect Getaway for making Family Memories!

Cute, clean and comfortable! The location can’t be any better as it’s just walking distance from Redondo Pier. The kitchen, bathrooms and whole house were well stocked…and did I mention clean?! The host, Wendy, was amazing and made us feel so welcome. We will be back for sure!

The relaxing atmosphere in this beach cottage was perfect! I had an interment memorial service at Green Hills followed by a memorial lunch at El Torito restaurant on the Redondo Beach pier - a very close convenient walk from the cottage. We enjoyed our short walks to the pier. The overall stay turned out amazing and memorable.

Fantastic and Charming Shack!

My family and I stayed for 6 nights at this adorable beach shack. The location was perfect, the shack was adorable with a great beach and throwback vintage feel (that we just loved) with all the modern amenities. The back and front areas were perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. The breeze was amazing in the evening. I highly recommend a stay - not to be missed!

Cutest place!

This was our last stop off a two week road trip and it was the perfect last place! One of the absolute cutest places I’ve ever been and Sandy is a great host! Beds were beyond comfy, a super close walk to the pier, a wonderful claw foot tub. My boys and I loved it!

Family vacation

We stayed at Wendy’s cottage as our last stop on a west coast road trip. The cottage is small but perfect. Just enough room for my wife and 3 kids. Easy walk to the pier. Street parking at the cottage was never a problem. Wendy is a fantastic host. Thanks!

Cute, quite, cozy and great location!

We stayed with our college age sons (2) over Xmas week, the cottage is really close to my family who lives locally. Wendy was very attentive during check-in and the whole stay. We used the kitchen, washer/dryer, bikes and grill. We walked to the farmer's market, walked to the Pier for happy hour drinks, and cruised the Strand on the bikes to LAX & PV. Owner lives next door so no loud parties or drama - just our style! Great location for the whole family!

Why they chose this property

I particularly love restoring older properties so when I came across the Burnham House & Cottages with all it's historic history it was impelling to want to restore and bring back to life all the workmanship so often found in these older homes....It was hard work but certainly most rewarding now to sit back and have others enjoy what I have re-created. Being so close to the beach is also most delightful and certainly well enjoyed. With my years of running Bed & Breakfast Inns & my enjoyment to meet people from all walks of life, it has proven to be a perfect marriage. I love that I own a historic landmark that is only 2 blocks to the beach and that I have provided such an enjoyable & peaceful environment for anyone that wants to indulge. I love going for a long walks in the morning along the beach and watching the surfers & dolphins mingle & the whales migrating in March/April. ***The sunsets are amazing and truly lovely to enjoy...very relaxing***.

I love that I own a historic landmark that is only 2 blocks to the beach and that I have provided such an enjoyable & peaceful environment for anyone that wants to indulge. Enjoy the coastline within a short walk to pier & beach path that sprawls from Palos Verdes to Santa Monica...easily engage in surfing, swimming, volleyball, walking, running, skating, biking, hiking....there's heaps to do in these beach cities & the list continues....art/food/music festivals, outdoor movies in the parks/on the beach, international volleyball tournaments to watch, or if you would rather just relax in our gardens or on the beach and do nothing... you can do that too... Varied selection of restaurants, eateries, cafes etc surround. Oh and not to forget, all the sites LA has to offer is easily accessible by car/public transportation private tours from local snazzy Hotels. Enjoy LA in a beach town oasis- it makes coming to LA quite a different experience...
