This is a residential neighborhood as there are no hotels within a 45 minute drive. The property is large but children do live on either side of us. Everyone goes to school during the day, but it is likely that you will hear children playing on weekends or in the afternoons.

Your space is all your own. The guesthouse is a stand-alone unit not close to the owner’s house (we do live on property if problems do arise). It’s a short 10 minute walk to the beach on a quiet street.

There is one other rental on property that we rent long-term or short-term depending on the season. Please respect their privacy by staying in the vicinity of your house & surrounding yard. There is plenty of space for everyone.

We live on property, and we are at easy access if you need us for recommendations or help, but otherwise you won`t see us much as the property is large.

The guesthouse is located on a quiet street on a large, lush agricultural lot. We have an energetic Bordoodle puppy named Lola who occasionally wanders the property, 2 cats and a tortoise. None of these pets should come close to or bother you. We have a particularly curious and friendly black cat named Galaxy, she will come and say hi.

This is a beach neighborhood with families occupying the homes. You will hear the children playing on the large lot next door, they are young and go to bed early.

We all enjoy Hawaii’s tropical climate - that’s why we’re here. So are the bugs. Especially on the North Shore where large parcels of land are uninhabited with dense foliage surrounding us. Since we live on property, we take the same steps to rid the Hibiscus Hale of insects as we do our own house. We employ a pest control company that sprays the outside perimeter every 2 weeks. We use bait traps & caulked every crevice we could find. In the summer or after heavy rains, however, it is sometimes not enough to stop ants (these won’t bite) or small roaches. It is not uncommon and we live with them. Please let us know if you are having a problem and we will call pest control to make an additional visit. To keep them at bay, please keep doors closed & open food containers in the fridge.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.
