Everything was very clean. It had the old wonkey feel of a an old vintage house on a hill with modern amenities. Downtown shopping was within a 5 minute easy walk and so was the Crecent Hotel. Plenty to see and do around this cute place. The best part was they had their own parking area, huge perk when parking in Eureka near main street!

The location of the property was great. The property says it sleeps 4 but there is really not enough comfortable seating in the main areas of the house for that many people. The deck is terribly uneven and a little scary.

The house is only blocks from shopping, restaurants, and springs, but is not at street level, so all the windows are private with views of the mountains. I did not need my car and was able to walk everywhere from downtown up to the Crescent. The inside is also cozy with hardwood floors, and doors going out to the balcony from the livingroom as well as one of the bedrooms.

Location was fantastic but I would not recommend this property.Positives:-great location! walking distance to everything!-host was very communicative and kind -easy check-in-great a/cNegatives:-Dirty—even our sheets had crusted, dried food(? i think it was food? i took pictures bc i was so grossed out), cobwebs in both rooms, lamp shades cracked, etc. The fact that the sheets were not cleaned was honestly my biggest issue :( I felt so gross—like my skin was crawling. Also the outdoor “patio” area had so many spiderwebs, bugs, grass not mown in a long time-The fridge didn’t work. We had to text the host for coolers to keep our food from spoiling bc the fridge never got cold-No supplies—we had to buy all the supplies ourselves—paper towels, dish soap, oil, spray, cleaning spray, etc. We also only had 3 partial rolls of TP for 4 people for a 3-day weekend so we ran out. basic things like that (especially when the check-out instructions include cleaning up) should be provided.-the lights in the bathroom would only work some of the time—i think it was an electrical issueThe host was very nice, but did not offer a discount or even partial refund for these issues. Granted I did not review ALL of the above problems with her while I was there, but I also didn’t want to spend my whole trip complaining to a VRBO host—I didn’t want to feel like a Karen! Either way, I would never recommend this place. It needs a major reno!!
