Little Cabin, rustic 4 bedroom near Mt. Snow and Berkshire East

The Little Cabin is a rustic wood cabin located in beautiful rural Vermont land, and a great deal for a no-frills, idyllic getaway in every season. Four bedrooms and a naturally lit dining room allow up to 10 guests to comfortably unwind, along with a cozy stove-heated living room. In winter, admire the fields of snow from inside or drive 15 miles to enjoy all Mt. Snow or Berkshire East have to offer. Spring means the maple sugaring season, and summertime brings warm weather perfect for exploring Lake Whitingham, 15 minutes from the Little Cabin. Last but far from least, Vermont’s fall foliage stuns even locals, and our cabin is the perfect place to take it all in. Hiking in the Green Mountains is excellent year round, and the Bennington Long Trail access point is only 30 minutes away. Jacksonville has gas stations and convenience stores, and the town of Wilmington is 10 minutes away by car for a grocery store, pharmacy, restaurant, and shops. Bennington and Brattleboro are each 40 minutes from the cabin if you want a taste of urban life. We look forward to welcoming you to our magical space.

Our cabin is beautiful and bare-bones. The main heating element for the home is a wood pellet stove, which guests must bring with them! Wood pellets are available at Home Depot in Greenfield, MA, (conveniently located between I-90 and the cabin), as well as at many Lowe’s, Walmart, and Tractor Supply Co. locations. Two bags per day will keep you cozy. Instructions for the pellet stove are next to the stove, and we ask that you stop adding pellets before bedtime for fire safety. There is gas heat to keep the property safe from freezing pipes. Please do not adjust the thermostat!

The Little Cabin is a shoes-off home. Feel free to bring slippers or use a pair from the basket of handmade slippers next to the entrance. Guests must bring linens, bath towels, and dish towels. We stock toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, body wash, and laundry detergent. There is one full bathroom on the first floor, as well as a washer and dryer. The bedrooms are all on the second floor. Two bedrooms have only curtains in the door ways, with one queen bed in each room. The third room has a door and a queen bed, and the fourth room has a door and two queen beds. The comforters are thick and warm. The ceilings on the first floor are only 6 feet tall, so watch your head!

All garbage and all food must be taken with you when you leave. Trash cans and fridge should be empty and garbage taken home.
