Wattwurm: A Modern Vacation Home with a Private Sauna

The middle unit in the terrace house has 2 floors.

The lower level features an open-concept living/dining area with a sofa and an armchair for relaxing, a large flat-screen TV, a wood-burning stove for cosy warmth, a fully equipped kitchen (coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, dishwasher, oven, washing machine, dryer), a guest bathroom, a small storage room; and on the upper floor, there is a bedroom (box-spring bed 180 x 200) with a wonderful balcony and a view of the dike, and a children’s room (box-spring bed 160 x 200)—both the master bedroom and the guest room have flat-screen TVs—as well as a bathroom with its own sauna. After a sauna session, enjoy the tranquility and the view over fields and meadows all the way to the dike.
Additionally, there is a grill (upon request), patio furniture, and fly screens on some of the windows and doors.

The sauna is available for a fee: 30 minutes for 1 euro. There is a coin-operated machine in front of the sauna; it is activated with euro coins, which then start the sauna.

To get to the beach, simply follow the road—it’s a 15-minute walk to the dike. The town centre, with various shops and restaurants, is about 1 km away. Just around the corner, there’s a supermarket with a bakery for fresh rolls in the morning, as well as a delicious pizzeria and several restaurants.

About 800 m away, for anyone looking to have fun or experience a diverse water world, there’s the tropical water park Aqua Mundo at CenterParc on the North Sea coast. (with water slides, whirlpools, and many other things to discover)

Whether you’re travelling alone, as a couple, or as a family with a dog, the North Sea resort of Tossens has something for everyone—from those seeking peace and quiet to active holidaymakers. Explore the region’s sights by bike and experience the Wadden Sea on foot. If you’d like, you can catch your own fresh fish in the town’s fishing ponds or dine at one of the excellent seafood restaurants in town. The small town of Tossens is located right on the dike, and just behind it you’ll find the Friesent Beach—Germany’s only themed beach, with sand for digging and daydreaming and a magnificent view of the North Sea. This beach is the “Little Pirates’ Beach.” A ship awaits young explorers, while a cable car and a climbing net offer plenty of adventure for little buccaneers. Older children and adults alike can enjoy beach volleyball, football, kite flying, and the sea. Or they can simply take in the view from a cosy beach chair—whichever they prefer.
A 250-km-long, well-developed network of bike trails offers you the chance to explore the Butjadingen Peninsula. At the fishing harbour in Fedederwardersiel, about 10 km away, there’s a selection of lovely

sightseeing cruises and fishing trips. Burhave is similarly close by, where you can swim even at low tide in the summer and the kids can have lots of fun in the play barn.
Our tip: Visit the Hanseatic city of Bremen, stroll through the historic Schnoor district, enjoy a cool drink on the Weser promenade, and experience the charms of this cosy city. The port city of Bremerhaven also has a lot to offer, including the Zoo am Meer, the Emigration Centre, and the Klimahaus.
