SKIERS take NOTE: Only 10 minutes to the nearest Coastal Mountain skiing at Grouse Mountain; 15 minutes to Cypress Bowl ski mountain; 30 minutes to Mount Seymour ski lifts. Only 1 Hour and 30 minutes to Whistler / Blackcomb Ski mountains.

Great place to stay

Lovely property in a great location. Howie was a lovely person, very helpful and even gave us a lift down to the sea bus when we left.Apartment was very clean, had everything anybody could have needed and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Vancouver.

Perfect place to recharge and relax!

Staying a Howie's place was a pleasure he's a superb host and I'm sad I didn't get to spend more time chatting with him! We definitely be coming back again! The basement apartment is beautifully decorated with original artworks and has a plethora of useful and thoughtful amenities. You can really tell Howie cares for his guests in a proactive and caring way. One exceptional example of this was the small library of books which was greatly appreciated. The apartment is really close to the main road which I thought might be an issue but you cannot hear it at all and proved to be really convenient for travelling around all of Vancouver. It's a super easy drive to downtown but feels much safer and relaxed. It's also only a few dollar's taxi ride to the seabus to downtown so if you're visiting Van and want to see the sights this is a really great option. Overall excellent experiences highly recommend!

Perfect Start to our Vancouver Life

We stayed in Howie's lovely flat for our first stay upon moving to Vancouver. We loved it and couldn't recommend enough. We loved it so much we we ended up staying for longer than planned! Howie & family are super friendly, the flat was perfectly kitted out including a ready to go kitchen and a desk set up - with one of us working remotely from the flat, that was ideal and the wifi was super quick! Safeway's opposite makes it super easy to pick up supplies and great access to the highway to get anywhere in Vancouver or even straight up to Whistler. Would highly recommend for anyone looking!

Great apartment in excellent location

The apartment was perfect for our needs and really well located to explore the North Shore. The apartment was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Howie was a great host and his suggestions for places to visit were much appreciated.

Perfect Home away from home

Howie was the perfect host even before we arrived. The property is beautifully furnished & it's location just outside the city was perfect to relax but with easy access to downtown. With mountain views & so many wonderful things to do close by, it was the perfect place for our honeymoon & we would return in a heartbeat.

Excellent apartment at a reasonable price.

Initially we looked at renting an apartment in Vancouver City for our ten day stay in March 2018 but chose Howie's apartment in North Vancouver as the cost was considerably less. We were pleased we made that decision. The journey from Howie's apartment, via bus and ferry was not onerous and quite enjoyable. Public transport in Vancouver is superb. Additionally Howie kindly picked us up from the ferry on the evening of our arrival and dropped us back there the day of our departure. North Vancouver is convenient to access Grouse Mountain and other attractions plus the apartment is only a short walk away from a supermarket, other shops, a coffee shop and a decent Japanese restaurant.The accommodation has been well described by other reviewer. It was very clean, quite luxurious and comprehensively equipped. Howie gave us useful local information. Overall we would wholeheartedly recommend this apartment.

Great location

Right off the highway, Howie’s home is easily accessible but still quiet and cozy. The suite is down a staircase to a private entrance to the basement of the home. Howie was a very communicative host and we felt very comfortable there. If you have a car, this is a great place to stay - free parking, easy drive to the city and super easy drive to cypress for skiing!

Perfect north Vancouver location

High end suite

I stayed at this fabulous apartment from a Wednesday to Saturday. Howie was nothing but amazing! He communicates well and wants everything to be perfect for his guest! He is very helpful when it comes to transportation and providing the best information possible. He made it so easy and accommodating for us. Great place to stay before cruise

Great place to stay in north Vancouver. The home was quiet and beautifully appointed with everything we needed and more prior to setting sale on a cruise. Despite close location to the freeway, it was very quiet with an awesome mattress to provide very restful sleeps. Excellent location within walking distance to Safeway and a variety of restaurants. Howie was kind and accommodating. Would absolutely stay again.

Great place, highly recommended!

This was the perfect place to stay for my husband and I on our trip to Vancouver. Howie was a great host. He greeted us on arrival and showed us the accommodation. He also gave us info about the surrounding area. The place was spacious and immaculate. It had everything we needed and more. Howie has thought of everything. Being in north Vancouver, it was very close to Grouse Mountain and Lynn Canyon. You can also easily catch the Seabus ferry from Lonsdale Quay across to the Waterfront in Vancouver.

A Rare Find

Not only was this a lovely property with a gorgeous backyard and a friendly, helpful host who goes out of his way to make sure you are superbly comfortable, it had an advantage which is hard to find in most other properties, the ability to bring your bikes or e-bikes and store them securely in a locked garage when not in use.
