The positives are that this place is well laid out. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Plenty of space was available for everyone to spread out. The new carpet that was just placed on the upper staircase and in the 2 upper bedrooms made that area feel cleaner upon arrival, but I'll get to that in a second. There is much potential here. The negatives unfortunately outweigh the positives. This rental was by far the filthiest place weve ever been to. We stay at 3-4 VRBO's a year at least. Floors were sandy and gritty upon arrival and sand was in all beds the first night before we'd even stepped foot onto the beach. The tubs were dirty. There was no way they were cleaned. The bathroom vanity was dirty. Giant ants crawled on the floors and lined the baseboards and windows of the main floor. We thought we'd play a board game on Saturday when it rained. The board game pieces were all dumped into a wire basket next to a plant in the corner of the living room. Scrabble pieces and plastic Monopoly houses were spilled out of the basket onto the floor and were interspersed with dead giant ant carcasses. The clothes drier does not work. I ran it 4 times on high to dry the bath towels prior to leaving and finally gave up. We had to leave them in the drier somewhat damp. I could go on and on, but that's enough to make us never want to stay at this place again. I truly cannot believe this place rents out like this. This is not the standard. These hosts need to do better.
