WaveHi! -- Oceanfront! Wave Hi To The Surf From Your Private Deck!

WaveHi! is a beautiful, newly renovated luxury condo located just steps to the beach! Our condo is on the 3rd floor with fantastic expansive views of the Atlantic ocean beach and dunes. Our ocean front deck is the perfect spot to watch the sunrise over the Atlantic surf, wave hi to the dolphins at play and pelicans flying by or to idle the day away. Bring your binoculars or use ours for close ups of the dolphins, pelicans, loons, sandpipers, seagulls etc. We have completely renovated the unit making it one of the brand new interiors in the complex.

WaveHi! offers a master bedroom with a queen-sized bed, brand new two full baths (super convenient for a family), brand new comfortable full-sized sofa bed, hallway twin XL reading nook/berth bed, new fully appointed stainless and Silestone kitchen, two flat screen TVs (living room and master bedroom), DVD player/movie library, free WiFi, beach chairs and umbrella, programmable coffee maker, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, new HVAC system, new convection oven, microwave, super quiet new dishwasher, stainless appliances, Keurig Coffee machine, high-end quiet ceiling fans, keyless entry system, and much more.

Please note our condo is on the third floor of a three story building with stairs and no elevator.

Note: Linens and towels are NOT included in our rental, but can be rented by guests directly with a linen rental company to help guests keep their costs down. Or guests may bring their own linens and towels. Pillows, blankets and quilts are provided.

Our beach-- only steps away from our condo -- features coastal dunes, soft creamy sand, nice surf and great beach combing. We have beach chairs and boogie boards for your use during your visit.

In addition to our beach front, our condo community has an outdoor pool (unheated), outdoor grills, basketball and tennis courts, pool side restrooms, and oceanfront showers, ocean front gazebos, and coin operated laundry facilities.

We are only a short 15 minute walk to the lovely, historical village of Duck where you can enjoy the lovely shops, buy groceries, eat at great restaurants and cafes, enjoy sound side sunset views by the bar, buy books and sip coffee at Duck Cottage, rent bikes to ride on the jogging trails, walk the sound-side boardwalk for bird watching, and rent canoes, kayaks and other water sports equipment.

Bring your binoculars or use ours to bird watch and get great close ups of dolphins in our surf. Superb viewing from our deck!

This place was amazing and just as listed. The owner had excellent communication. Bed was very comfortable with a topper which is hard to find and there were so many extras like binoculars to watch the dolphins, plenty of paper towels and toilet paper and a great view! The decor was new and stylish. Excellent trip and thank you!

Absolutely the best ocean view in Duck! Very clean, well stocked, modern condo with fantastic ocean views. The pool is great and the area is always full of families. We've stayed there several times and will be returning again.

Another awesome stay at WaveHi

We love this cozy condo property and come here every spring to enjoy the quiet offseason beach experience. Condo is great and perfect for a couple. The owners are super responsive and accomodating. The view is amazing! Highly recommend!

Great stay and experience! Beautiful condon, fully updated and nicely equipped. My one small complaint is it wasn’t COVID clean. But easy enough to wipe down counters, etc. We will definitely stay again.

Solo trip for Relaxation

Wanted to get away on the beach and relax and explore OBX as it was on my bucket list. This place was perfect for just that. I did get my exercise climbing all the stairs to the top level. But the top is always the best! Very well decorated, such a cute beach vibe and very comfortable, the bed was comfortable as well.

This is our second year of staying at this unit. It's well maintained, great views, and a close in parking space. Easy communication with the owners. It is a 3rd floor walk-up with 6 flights of stairs, so it's good to plan comings and goings.

Unparalleled view!

This condo is an amazing find--top floor, 180-degree+ view of the ocean, very private. It is tastefully appointed and well-stocked, with a spectacular deck from which to watch beach sea-and-human-life. We loved our stay in Wave Hi! Highly recommended and very well located in the town of Duck, that is walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Now that the balconies have been upgraded, I hope that the rest of the property development will receive a similar sprucing up.

This place needs a thorough cleaning

Cobwebs on the ceiling in the bedroom look fierce, needs a serious vacuum under the couch and behind the TV stand, looked under the bed and found all kinds of mess, shower had a wonderful clump of long black hair.. This place needs a thorough cleaning!

Very nicely decorated. $1 million view of ocean. Everything terrific except....a couch that is very uncomfortable to sit or lay on. Yes, it’s a pullout bed, but as a couch there’s no padding. It’s like sitting directly on a metal frame. Everything else was PERFECT.

OK, we MUST come back!

Such a wonderful time, and a perfect location to sightsee, adventure and just plain relax. Mike and Mary not only described the place accurately, but responded quickly with answers to questions. Great time of year for retirees to visit OBX, with the exception of a couple of high-wind (small craft advisory) days that meant we couldn't hang glide or parasail. Oh well, it's an excuse for another visit. Probably because it was after kids went back to school, there appeared to be several units that weren't occupied - which meant peace and quiet. Place was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Furnishings were comfortable, and the layout was fine for us two. Muy bueno!

What a View!

Oceanfront view that can't be beat! Dolphin sightings daily. End unit optimizes privacy. The unit was updated and kitchen well stocked with plenty of cooking utensils. The reason I only gave it a 4 star was due to the cleanliness of the duvet cover, master bath walls and master bath throw rug. The upper portion of the walls were covered with a visible layer of dust. The duvet cover and rug need to be laundered. Regardless, I would recommend this rental and stay there again.

We have been coming to Duck for almost two decades to vacation. Each time we were here we would fantasize about owning a little something of this wonderful island to enjoy whenever we could. Finally, we took the plunge and now own WaveHi!, Dune Nest and Dolphin Dawn (all in the same lovely Colony by the Sea). They are just the right size and are our little places to escape to when the pressures of real life get to us. We hope you too will find that peace of mind and sense of rejuvenation that we get each time we come back to Duck. We look forward to sharing it with you! WaveHi! is located right on the ocean on one of the most beautiful east coast beaches in the U.S. It has the best view for year round beach front enjoyment! Spectacular sunrises and moonrises greet you daily! We have worked hard to provide a completely new, comfortable place to relax with many details we enjoy for our own comfort and wind down time. The town of Duck is a quaint coastal village with super friendly folk and wonderful shopping, dining and many fun things to do. You can rent kayaks, canoes, bikes, tandem bikes, tc. to enjoy the many water activities Duck has to offer. We love it here and come all the time.

What makes this property unique

Our favorite thing about WaveHi! is the oceanfront location and view. When you step out on the deck the sight and sound of the waves is the most magical thing in the world. Lounging on the deck we enjoy watching the sunrise, seeing the dolphins play, and pelicans fly by while sipping our coffee. Evenings bring the colors of the sunset across the eastern Atlantic sky and moonrises that are spectacular. It's a great backdrop for a glass of wine to wind down from a day of total relaxation. Perfect.
