Very clean. Host was quick to respond to my questions. Would like to have better understood location to Hwy 16 and the road noise. They did supply a white noice machine that was helpful. Just was frustrating when sitting outside or walking around property.
This was the perfect little cabin for our long weekend stay! The location was perfect and close to many different things to do. We loved all the games that were included at the cabin!

We’re so glad the cabin was the perfect fit for your long weekend! It’s wonderful to hear you enjoyed the convenient location and had fun with the games provided. We’d be happy to welcome you back for another Custer getaway anytime, Jaici!
Everything was nice except we didn’t realize we were basically sharing the middle section of 1 cabin, next to a busy highway. Road noise, hard mattress, and bathroom doors that slammed kept us from sleeping well. I am sure our bathroom door and front door bothered the neighbors as theirs’ bothered us. The walls are thin, considering I thought it was going to be a single log cabin for us. The fridge froze our eggs by the second day, probably because it needed defrosting beforehand. I did realize it worked well to do eggs over easy with frozen eggs! :) We were close to everything we wanted to see! We made it to Bear Country USA, Wild Horse Sanctuary, lighting ceremony at Mt. Rushmore, Dinosaur Park, Skyline Drive Trail, the Badlands, Crazy Horse, Needles Highway, Powder House restaurant for steak and crab cakes, and Kathmandu restaurant for wonderful Indian food! All our trips were very drivable from the cabin and did not disappoint! Host was great. We didn’t need anything really, but they responded quickly with any messages. The hot tub was next to another cabin so we were not comfortable using it (I’m not sure we were supposed to). We didn’t see a pool if there was one. The blankets on the couch were wonderful. The cold water bidet was a nice surprise. The shower was small but it served its purpose. I was glad to have the first aide kit since I got stung by a bee in the Crazy Horse museum. Other than my bee sting, the 5 days were fantastic! Thanks, Hillside!
