We appeared to be the first people staying in this room, so some of this review has more to do with the newness of the building and some of the kinks that need to be worked out.The room was clean and generally comfortable for four. A couple throw pillows for the couch and upgraded pillows for the bed would go a long way to making it a five-star experience. Rooftop pool and hot tub were a great experience. Best part of the stay. The rooftop bbq and fire pits do not seem to be working yet. We were not able to get gas to them.Similarly, the elevator fobs were not working reliably. Air conditioning did not reach the master bedroom, making for very warm nights. Rates were reasonable, about the best I could find. We overlapped a major music festival and a comicon event, so rates were higher than expected. San Diego has a lot of events and conventions can fill the town, so check dates. There is no parking available at this building. However, there is a three minute drop-off zone in front to load and unload luggage or a Lyft. Easy walk to Little Italy and lots of great food. (10mins or so). Slight hill getting back. Straight shot to Gaslamp Quarter in a Lyft or Uber, but not a walk we personally would make. There are a fair number of homeless people and some tents around the building. This is a reality in every metropolitan area, and several nearby churches appear to provide meals and services. Not a real issue, but more evident in this area than in tourist zones.
