Beautiful home on 20 acres with stunning mountain views. Master bedroom with king bed, full bath and closet. Loft bedroom with queen bed and full bath. Two additional queen beds in unfinished basement, if needed. Ideal for two couples. Kitchen with gas stove and all major and small appliances. Deck for enjoying the morning sunrise or evening mountain glow. Laundry room, dining room with large dining table. Office has wireless internet. Spacious family room with satellite TV, DVD player and stereo. This property is ideal for those coming to experience the fly fishing, hunting, hiking, rafting, cycling, photography, wildlife spotting, and the myriad of other outdoor activities available. Several fly shops in Twin Bridges offering guided trips. Also a short 20 minute walk to the banks of the Big Hole.The town of 'Twin' has groceries, post office, gas and convenience store, casual restaurants and fine dining at The Old Hotel.

Best View in Montana

My Wife and I have been coming to Twin Bridges to fish since 1997. Our 1st time staying here. The home is as spectacular as the View! We home to come back again next year!

Beautiful setting! Perfect family hub for our daughter's wedding weekend!

What a view!! Appreciated the separate sleeping areas...upstairs, downstairs and master. The master bath had the most amazing shower! Very spacious (even more than the pictures lead you to believe) and well stocked with everything one could need. Had a great time!

A wonderful stay!

We stayed for four nights and loved it. The house seems like new, it is well taken care of and it was neat and uncluttered. The caretaker Laura was so helpful and she obviously does an excellent job of caring for the property. While the area offers many activities to keep you busy, we loved returning to the house and having the time to enjoy it. We did have a hard time getting the dvd to work, and it could have been our fault. Nonetheless, we highly recommend this home to others.

Iconic Montana Home on the Range

We had a family reunion down in Sheridan and brought most of my family who has never really spent time in Montana. We VRBO a lot and love finding unique homes when we travel and this property does not disappoint. You can't help but stare at the mountains and valley from this home's location and say to yourself, "yep..big sky country". The home sits on the upper slope overlooking Twin Bridges and Sheridan. I believe it's relatively new construction and it has a gourmet kitchen with everything you can think of. We never ate out once and cooked all our own meals and the owner must cook like I do because he had all the spices I would use on the spice rack. The basement has recently been completed and has another set of beds and a bathroom down there as well. Great place for the older kids. The house has a big deck that is wonderful to take in the morning views as it faces east but it also makes it great for the afternoon because the sun is not beating down then. We watched Thunderstorms roll through the valley one evening which was exceptional. If the wind picks up, you can move inside and sit in the big living room area in comfort. A very enjoyable stay if you're in the area and if you need anything, there is a caretaker of the property that is nearby and can answer any questions you might have.

Twin Bridges MT Review

This was a very nice place, first class in every respect. Beautiful views of mountains and range land. We had four people and with 3 full baths and a additional powder room it was more than adequate. Fully equipped kitchen was great. The downstairs sleeping area was huge with three beds and full bath, and nicely done, but it does need a bit more furniture down there.. I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful Twin Bridges cabin located close to blue ribbon fishing waters and quaint towns.

We booked this cabin with Kurt really short notice when we decided to stay a couple of extra days after a friends wedding. I’m so glad we did. Kurt contacted me right away and reached out to me prior to our arrival as well to make sure I had directions and his house caretakers info. Laura, the caretaker, went out of her way to make sure we were accommodated for and had all we needed to make it a great stay. She was very pleasant and easy to work with. The cabin was beautiful. Furnishings perfect. Comfortable beds and amazing showers. Many pristine rivers are close by to fly fish and quaint towns to sight see and get a bite to eat. We enjoyed our short lived stay but plan on going back. Thanks Kurt for opening up your house and sharing it with my family. Cindy and Tom Land

Exquisite!

Situated in a peaceful and quiet location with superb views of the beautiful Ruby Valley, this well appointed home offers elegant comfort with flavors of Montana throughout. Four of us stayed here while visiting relatives in the area and couldn't have asked for a better place to rest and breathe in the wonderful mountain air of Montana in between our day trip excursions to Virginia City, Ennis, Dillon, and Bannack. Upon arrival we were greeted by lovely Laura who made sure our stay was perfect and we left feeling full of gratitude for owner, Kurt, who has graciously offered this incredibly clean and beautifully built home to those who want to enjoy breathtaking views of rustic Montana in one of the finest homes available.

A hidden treasure

Brought my 4 year old son here for his first fishing trip and I couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The cabin is just as beautiful as the pictures - luxurious but still very cozy. Kurt's home was well stocked with everything you need to make this place feel like your home (kitchen wares and appliances, spices, condiments, toiletries etc.) It really is a special treat to walk the grounds and take in views of the mountains each morning over coffee. I especially enjoyed the privacy this place offers but also how it is so conveniently located to Main Street, a bunch of rivers, and more bustling and touristy towns such as Ennis and Virginia City. A great opportunity to disconnect from your every day life and go off the grid. It seemed like we were the only tourists in Twin Bridges for the days we stayed there and we felt like we were able to get to know some of the locals fairly quickly. Laura, who helps manage the property is insanely kind and accommodating. It was her first time having a toddler on the property, and she thought of everything, including an air mattress in the master bedroom and children's DVDs. I would come back here in a heartbeat and am already trying to rationalize another trip ASAP.

Truly a "Rustic, Elegant Mountain Residence Close to the Best Fly Fishing in the World"

This house is as beautiful as the VRBO pictures show it . . . . if not more so. The panoramic views of the various mountain ranges surrounding the property are nothing short of spectacular, and the interior of the residence is incredible. The furnishings are very comfortable, the kitchen and dining rooms are equipped with everything imaginable, and the layout of the house is perfect for socializing with large and small groups. The location of the house was perfect for our combined purpose for visiting the area: family wedding in Sheridan/Twin Bridges and fly fishing/sightseeing. Some of our party spent time in Virginia City and Yellowstone, while others spent a good deal of time on the Ruby, the Madison, the Beaverhead and the Jefferson. In short, we had an excellent stay in a beautiful home in an awesome location. (The only surprise, which may have been due to our not reading closely enough, was that we had seven people, the VRBO description said the house slept seven people, but two of the doubles beds were air mattresses (accommodating 3 of the guests) in the unfinished basement. That said, the basement, like the rest of the house, is immaculately kept, and everyone slept soundly after very full and exciting days spent in the area.) Dealing with Kurt and the lady who helps maintain the property for him ( Laura) was a pleasure, and they made renting the property a breeze. We would highly recommend this property to friends, relatives and others!

Perfect home for family celebration, best in the valley

When my daughter decided to get married in Montana we knew we would have a lot of family attend the wedding. Though the ceremony was in another town, we needed to be close to Twin Bridges to make sure the reception details came together well (by the way, the Madison County Fairgrounds is an excellent reception venue for a rustic theme or for a big family reunion). This was the perfect house. Our extended family rented two other homes in the valley but this home in Twin was by far the best home and everyone wanted to hang out here. This home was very accommodating for a cookout and everyone was very impressed with the sunset and view of the valley. It is nice and quiet and especially from the back deck, you feel as if you are on a large ranch. And I am saying this as a Colorado guy who is used to great mountain scenery. The home is in perfect condition. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was great. Check in and Check out were handled perfectly. We could not have had a better experience. Well, maybe if I had caught a fish it would have been better but the Big Hole is very accessible and there are very nice riffles on that section (will be perfect after run off slows in June).

Awsome house with mountsain views.

We rented this house for two weeks in late June and early July. The house has all the extras and was very well maintained. We thoroughly enjoy southwest Montana and it was a great location for exploring that corner of the state. You can easily reach Yellowstone, Butte, Bozeman, etc. for day trips and those awesome trout streams are all close by. We saw deer, moose, elk, antelope and jackrabbits all within 15 miles of the house, so you don't have to venture far for wildlife. Check in and out was a breeze and Laura, the neighbor who handles this, was wonderful. We will definitely consider a return trip.

Well maintained home with a view.

We rented this home in Twin Bridges as lodging for a few days on the river fishing. Check in was stress free and upon arrival the amenities were as advertised. The deck facing the mtns was well used and appreciated. Interior/exterior is kept tidy and clean. Would definitely consider renting this property again should the need arise.

Fantastic view and first class accommodations.

This was our home base for a week while fishing the local rivers and seeing wildlife. We saw moose, bears and lots of deer and antelope. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck in the late afternoon and looking at the mountain range all lit up by the setting sun and then the millions of stars in the night sky. We can't wait to come back next year.
