The Space:

Aptly named, Artsea Phartsea is an eclectic beach resort home nestled among beautiful live oaks and palmettos that Edisto is so famous for. This cozy cottage is perfect for a couple’s retreat, golfing getaway, or a small family looking for a coastal retreat. Features like a unique floor plan that boasts a comfortable combination living and dining area, a well-equipped galley style kitchen, large sun deck, and gorgeous décor make this home stand out from the crowd. Take advantage of dining al fresco or simply cooling off after a hot day in the sun on the spacious and comfortably furnished screened-in porch. Cable TV and internet access will keep your group entertained should a brief shower interrupt your day on the course or the beach. The second-floor loft is surrounded by custom sea life art crafted in stained glass and serves as the perfect spot to enjoy your favorite book or an afternoon nap. The charm of this peaceful bungalow will have you coming back season after season to reset and recharge in a way that can only be done on Edisto Beach. Enjoy one of Wyndham's three pools, playground, tennis courts, and fitness center for an additional fee.

This vacation rental is located inside of the Wyndham Ocean Ridge Resort. Boats, trailers, motorcycles, mopeds, campers, RV's, and golf carts are not allowed inside of the resort.

Wyndham amenities are available for purchase for an additional fee from the Wyndham Cafe but there is NO GUARANTEE due to limited passes per day. Wyndham Amenities are shared pools, tennis, gym fitness room, mini golf, playground, and Beach Cabana.

The location was ideal. This would be a great house for 2 couples or a family with just one or two kids. The “queen” beds are actually full sized beds. The upstairs bedroom and loft share the upstairs bathroom. It’s cramped. And in summer the upstairs bedroom never gets really cool. The kitchen and den are very small, not enough comfortable seating for more than 4. The screened porch and decks are very spacious. The property needs a lot of updating — appliances, decor, etc. Bedroom doors are difficult to close or keep closed. The biggest difficulty we had with the property is not really a reflection on the property or its owner — the ductwork under the house was being replaced when we arrived. The house was HOT — 89 degrees inside. The rental company moved us into another property for 2 days, which was inconvenient but at least livable. Be mindful of the age of this property before you rent.

We’re sorry for the challenges you experienced during your stay. Unfortunately, the ductwork replacement was not completed before your arrival despite our efforts to have it finished beforehand. We understand that being moved to another home for the first two nights was inconvenient, and we appreciate your understanding. Since then, all of the ductwork has been replaced, and the HVAC is now keeping up properly. The upstairs loft also has a mini-split to help keep the space comfortable, even with the high ceiling. The home is a two-bedroom with a loft, as listed, and we recognize that it is an older property. Our team is continuing to work with the owner on updates and improvements during the off-season. We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us identify areas where we can continue to improve.

We enjoyed it! The generous screened porch and deck area are architecturally delightful; feels like an extra adjoining living room. We and our pups enjoyed the short walk to Jenkins Street and straight shot to beach access. The provided linens & towels and ease of checkout procedure contributed to our being able to take it easy –rather than scrambling to depart– at the end of our short stay for a weekend event.
